Somewhere to crash for very cheap

    rating13 May 2026

For the price and the fact it was in London, I wasn’t expecting luxury and it pretty much delivered exactly that — you get what you pay for. Check-in felt a bit odd as I had to either hand over £20 cash or leave my ID in exchange for the room key, which wasn’t ideal. The bed was unbelievably hard, and that’s coming from someone who actually likes a firm mattress. The pillows were basically flat too, so sleep wasn’t great. There was a lot of noise until around 2am, and then once that finally stopped, the noisy fridge took over for the rest of the night. The room was advertised as having a hairdryer, but there wasn’t one. The shower itself was actually fine, but there were no toiletries provided at all, so definitely bring your own shampoo/shower gel etc. Not the worst place I’ve stayed, but definitely more “somewhere to crash” than somewhere to relax.

    Reasonable hotel.

I think this is a very reasonable hotel. It had everything you would need. Not the cleanest no but does the job. Slept well.Maybe not somewhere for a long stay but if in the Shepard’s Bush area, worth considering. A premier is near by.Little bit of a walk from the nearest tube station but that’s just Shepard’s bush for you.

    Find somewhere else

I would definitely avoid staying here for more than 1 night. If you are unfortunate enough to be on the top floor, you HAVE to have the windows open or it gets unbearably hot. We were staying in room 43. Which in a busy area, isn't pleasant at night with constant traffic and noise, especially when the bed is directly below the windows. The toilet on the top floor was almost impossible to use, you either bang your head on the sloped ceiling or have to lean backwards to try and pee (as a man). The beds are firm as can be and really uncomfortable, the bathroom was okay but a lot of grime in the sink drain and the shower head was dirty and blocked. Took a while to try and get a decent temperature that wasn't burning hot or freezing cold. The furniture was chipped and mismatched... like really mismatched but that's not really anything to complain about. The bathroom "door" is the loudest door I've ever heard that you can probably hear through the entire building, you end up feeling like you're being incredibly loud even trying to slowly open it.Note: A £20 cash deposit or a valid ID is required to be handed in to reception beforehand which I'm not a fan of but you get it back once you checkout.

Don’t waste your money- there really are much better options

    rating05 Jun 2025

Not sure where the pictures were taken of this hotel but it certainly wasn’t the 261 !!! Grotty place the en suite wasn’t much bigger than a broom cupboard- overriding smell of cigarettes - paid beforehand on line then demanded a £20 deposit when we arrived - if it wasn’t for the fact it was Friday night and we arrived late we would never have stayed. You get what you pay for in London unfortunately and this is cheap- out of the way- but grotty grubby and best avoided

To be avoided, mediocre and very poor breakfast

    rating05 May 2025

A hotel that is not of a high standard. Breakfats in a pizzeria and limited to 2 eggs cooked in a bowl with a little bacon and one or two pieces of sausage if you're lucky. A soluble coffee (mediocre) other drinks are charged. No breakfast buffet (no cereals, fruit, juice, butter or jam). nothing like that) Very poor.
