A fine stay missing a little charisma

It was a fine stay which misses that x-factor to make it 5-star. But does everything well

Friendly hotel staff, tidy room, decent breakfast selection with tasty coffee and hot croissants.Bus stops directly outside for getting in to London.Easy check in and out, pop your card in the box on exit.

Treat yourself to a kettle by staying somewhere else

Review of ibis StylesI don’t usually write reviews like this, but this one really needs to be said.I stayed at an Ibis Styles hotel recently, and honestly, it was a big disappointment. For a brand that’s part of the Accor group, I expected a basic level of comfort and service—but it just wasn’t there.First off, the pricing. For what you’re actually getting, it feels overpriced. You’re paying more than budget, but not receiving anything close to mid-range quality. It sits in an awkward middle ground that just doesn’t justify the cost. Then comes the real issue—lack of basic amenities. No kettle in the room. That might sound like a small thing, but for many travellers (especially in the UK), it’s a simple essential. Being able to make a tea or coffee in your room isn’t a luxury—it’s standard. Not having that just feels like corners are being cut.The overall service and offering felt stripped back. It’s marketed as “stylish,” but style doesn’t make up for missing fundamentals. When you’re tired after a long journey, you want comfort and convenience—not frustration. To sum it up: disappointing, overpriced, and lacking the basics.I wouldn’t recommend staying here.Spend a little extra and book somewhere that actually provides the essentials—you’ll thank yourself for it.

    Not good

The room was so small and smelly, the behaviour of Manager was so rude, she didn't know how to deal with international tourist/travellers and guest in the hotel. We didn't get the services of breakfast in the hotel just to explore the local food, usually markets near the hotel open after 11.00 am. I have also worked in the hotel industry, and we taught that guest is always right within rules and regulation, but the staff of this hotel need to get some training according to international standards.
