    Staff were amazing- the location was fine and a nice neighbourhoodThe rooms are small and the restaurant was closed sadly as they are renovating. We asked for soap, maps and ice and they were gracious - Dianna and Beverly especially .Reliable hot water was a problem

    I attended a conference with work at the Lancaster Gate hotel staying the night before.The rooms are beautifully appointed with divine bedding, The White Company toiletries and lovely robes!The food was delicious- I had dinner, drinks and breakfast and was not disappointed.Every member of staff I came into contact with were an absolute pleasure from check in to check out. A special shout out to Yolanda in the restaurant who walked the line as we queued for lunch following our conference break. Extremely friendly and attentive.I am surprised by some of the reviews for the hotel as I would love to have the opportunity to visit and stay here again and would thoroughly recommend The Lancaster Gate 🌟

    This review takes into account the fact that the hotel is under major refurbishment. We were advised two days in advance that there is no hot water and took the decision still to go.Despite this, the location was great, the staff terrific, the size of the room was much better than similarly priced London hotels we've used, and the hotel was clean.We'll definitely consider returning- once the refurbishment is done.

    Very nice hotel, breakfast currently unavailable which wasn’t ideal but it does have very handy transport links with three tube stations within walking distance. Very friendly staff.

    This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, we stayed for 10 nights unfortunately, at a cost of close to AUD $3k, the bathroom tap had scum from years ago looked like it had never been cleaned, the rooms were serviced badly, left without toilet paper constantly, never vacuumed, dirty cups left in room. 4 days in we then had no hot water for 2 days which meant we could not shower, they did not give two hoots about it, then 2 days later we had no flushing toilet for over 48 hours, the shower never ran the water out of the bath whilst showering so the water was up past your ankles. A major safety breach. My daughter slipped and could have hurt herself seriously, they still didn’t care. The front staff including management were so rude. I have asked for a refund for this disservice and utter disgrace of a hotel and they blatantly refused. I booked through booking.com and they also have done nothing to obtain a refund. Overall the hotel was a disgrace. We were not the only guests who encountered this issue. Do not stay at this hotel, the rating should be a 1 star and booking.com should not be listing properties like this.
