    We had an excellent experience at this hotel! 4 of us stayed here for a weekend trip to London and the staff here were very kind and friendly to us the whole time. They were kind enough to let us drop our luggage at the hotel while we explored because we arrived hours before our check in time. They also let us leave our luggage in the hotel while exploring before heading to the airport as we had to check out at 11am but we weren’t heading to the airport till 3pm. It’s located right next to Ilford station so it was very easy to get around the city. There are also a few pubs around and restaurants for food. The area and hotel was quiet enough although whoever was in the room above was there was a constant thumping at times which was bothersome. The rooms were spacious enough for the 4 of us and the bathroom big enough too which was also wheelchair accessible. Our rooms were very clean, had multiple mirrors for pictures/makeup and the towels were replaced daily and the staff were always kind and responded to any queries nicely. Overall the hotel had a really nice atmosphere and I would definitely recommend. It has an amazing value for money. 5/5 would come again.

    I had a really lovely stay at this hotel. The location is perfect only a minute from the station and it was very quiet at all times. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I would definitely stay here again!

    Refused hotel room , no physical card to secure a deposit, this hotel is behind on times it should facilitate Apple / Samsung pay, I had no choice but to book elsewhere, terrible service.

    You might think you got a bargain. However there is a hidden upfront cost of £100. Add to this your room charge. No guarantees you will get this £100 back but good luck trying.

    Bed Bug BITES at this Hotel

    I stayed at Lucky 8 Hotel in Ilford from July 8th to July 11th, in Room 23. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by discovering bed bugs. Initially, I noticed a few small insects around the bed but did not fully understand their significance. Within 24 hours of leaving, I started noticing red lumps on my skin, and by 48 hours, I was suffering from severe itching and discomfort, especially on my right arm and inner thigh. These symptoms worsened significantly after departure, clearly indicating bed bug bites.When I contacted the hotel on July 15th, the response I received from a staff member named Muhammad Ali was dismissive and defensive. He implied that I may have been bitten elsewhere or questioned whether I'd even stayed at the hotel. I found his approach inappropriate, especially given the seriousness of the issue.I have formally reported this to the hotel, including photographic evidence of my bites, and requested a thorough investigation.I am deeply disappointed by this experience, not only because of the discomfort and inconvenience but also because of the unprofessional handling of the situation by hotel staff. Guests deserve a clean and safe environment, and unfortunately, this was not my experience at Lucky 8 Hotel.I strongly recommend that potential guests consider this information carefully before booking.
