    First time to stay at the Mentone Holel. Very convenient location close to British Museum and King's Cross, St Pancras and Euston. Our room was spacious, attractive, clean and well-appointed The two beds in our room were very comfortable. Note that there is no lift. Early in the morning the breakfast room was busy but we got a table without delay and food in the buffet was replenished frequently. Breakfast was good.     Great Stay for Family of 5

    Family of 5 (14,11,6) stayed at Mentone in early September. Room was very small for all 5 of us but was fine for price we paid. Breakfast was really good and included as we booked directly with hotel. Hotel staff were BRILLIANT. Always helpful with a smile and very accomodating.     This is par for the course for a traditional London hotel room. The room we stayed in would not be suitable for large or numerous luggage. Typical to traditional London hotels, there is no elevator. The stairs are narrow for "ground" and upstairs rooms, and breakfast.Some amenities are hand/body wash soap and shampoo. Water pot to heat water for instant coffee or tea. No heat for those cold London nights, but staff will provide a blanket on request. Our room was pitched from one corner to the opposite diagonal corner. Across the street, you can find a tennis court. Nice variety of food offerings within a block that you are not reliant on the train station offerings.     Maintenance issues, tiny rooms, no elevator, breakfast underground in an atrocious dining room colours.

    The hotel room was very small, with the very minimum place to put or hang things. Worse - not only there was no lock on the door, but you couldn't close it at all (that includes the toilets!). Even worse still, the shower drainage was clogged and on the first shower, everything became a lake. We told the receptionist, who was not very nice, and the next day they solved the shower problem, but not the door one. I was far from impressed.

    A Little Gem!

    Well, what a lovely little place! We booked a night away in London to go to a concert at Wembley. We have never stayed here before but we will definitely be back. The room was spacious, very clean and fully equipped for what we needed for our stay. The staff were brilliant, welcoming and extremely knowledgable. The hotel is a stones throw from Euston Station and Tube Stations and there are restaurants, pubs and take aways within walking distance. Breakfast at the hotel was really good and again the staff were lovely. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
