    Advice = AVOID!!

    rating16 May 2026

    Review based on a so called 'double deluxe room' 108.Previous reviews say basic and dated - this I can deal with. Dirty and broken, I don't find acceptable. I have stayed in cheaper, much cleaner hotels in London so my advice is to scroll past this one.POSITIVES: I agree with their website that they are convinently close to the underground, they do offer a light continental breakfast and the bed was fairly comfortable.NEGATIVES: Pictures show how dirty and not just dated, but of the broken amenities they offer - toilet seat broken, sink and shower dirty and limescale, mold around shower, rusty rails, bathroom floor tiles loose, sink-toilet cistern- bath panel all cracked, lights not working, dirt and dust to bedside lamp and round radiator and window sills, so called fridge not cold yet ice build up, 'comfy relax area' in a room for 2 people was one cup chair??? Milk to downstairs 'complimentary' tea and coffee left out all day and sour (lady on desk did kindly change this after being ignored by owner).Obviously noise is an issue as they state they have done everything to help stop the travel of the noise (I would disagree, no sufficient sealing to window doors) and not only siren and motorbikes ALL night from the main road but also from the food delivery people and bikes congregated right outside the door for the Nandos take-out hatch. I was laughed at when I asked if they had ear plugs to provide guests with but soon rectified this ourselves with ear plugs from the nearby Boots shop. Not having had much sleep we went back to try and get a couple of hours rest, before out again in the evening. However, they had workmen banging away which when I asked about the noise it went from yes they did have some in, to 'no, maybe it is next door'. However sawdust footprints up the stairway were still there the following morning.The garden also looked lovely on the website but in reality they have no cushions on the outdoor seating, no planting, just empty rusty fence pots and a pile of rubbish in the corner with dirty towels wrapped over the fencing area. It would make a nice area if it was looked after.Not too sure if they simply have really bad cleaners, no pride in the place or both, but staying here really ruined the rare time away we get 😱

    Avoid at all costs!!

    rating02 Feb 2026

    Awful. Avoid at all costs. Booking.com had not made the reservation (not hotel's fault). Handled badly at hotel (had received confirmation by email from booking.com AND the hotel.Had other events planned in London so took the room they offered, with a 'partly boarded up' window. We didnt realise until we got in from our event that thw window was CONCRETED up! With no part of the tiny bit of glass that you could see, able to be opened. Scary. The bar panel was rotten through. The advertised bar was permanently closed (advertised 11am-11pm) although the receptionist said we could buy a beer (which we didn't want). Management was on the phone to receptionist and didnt want to know or help with the situation. The breakfast room looked terrible so we cut our loses and went to McDonald's for breakfast (just around the corner).Never again. The location is.good, next to tube station, but that's the only good point. They also dema ded to see a diving licence or passport, neither of which we had on us and have never had to show at a hotel before. Save your money, go elsewhere.

    Disappointing

    rating24 Jun 2025

    So the positives, great location to Earls Court tube station and outside seating area.5 of us stayed in separate rooms and everyone of us had a issue with our room. Starting with dirty linen, window at the front of building would not close. Flickering light in the bathroom , water constantly dripping in the bath, hair found in the bath in one room , a pillow with the inside filling coming out. Breakfast is continental but was minimal where was the fresh fruit ? Customer service was totally lacking. No asking if we had a nice stay. Having to hand your keycard in when you leave the hotel and then having to recheck back in when we returned .The lift did not open correctly so was left with a gap.

    Fawlty Towers meets Catfish Hotel

    rating21 Jun 2025

    We arrived for 1 night and were welcomed by a woman looking similar to a prey animal, we should have realised what we were in for and walked straight back out. Checking in, they wanted all our ID passport and driving license info and refused to tell us why and how they were going to use the info. It is not government policy especially for British citizens although they claimed it was. Trip up in the lift to the room welcomed us to a burnt out lift panel with scorch marks, then litter up the corridor to our room and a random iron and ironing board next to the “Rentokill” check point stickers. Mattresses were awful, sheets stained and unclean. Towels the size of postage stamps and threadbare. Bathroom was just as bad, it had a duct taped wall hairdryer yellowing next to an outdoor porchlight over the mirror. Turn the sink tap on and it’ll flow down the back of the tap rather than straight into the sink. The doorway to get into the bathroom was a half door, breath in when you want to stand at the sink or be prepare to stand in the bath!! Shower was awful and difficult to regulate, plenty of limescale to make any south east London public toilet envious. Everything grim and “mashed” together, with the bath panel held in by tile grouting! We had a random under counter fridge in the middle of the room too, The building has 5 floors from looking at it from outside but actually 6 shrunken levels when you get in there. They didn’t use a spirit level when putting the floors in!! When you pop out you have to leave your room key at reception and can’t take it with you!! Free continental breakfast consisted of stale cornflakes and UHT milk and some cheap chewy toast. They ration you to a tiny bit of jam and one pastry (literally, hand it out). My husband had the full English and it was awful. Mushrooms charred to an inch of their lives, cardboard bacon, rubbery sausage and watery cheap baked beans served in GĂŒ pots, not worth ÂŁ12.95. Oh and there’s only a tiny window of when you can have breakfast so if you’re an early riser you’ll probably be so starving that a breakfast cooked 3 days prior will be the least of your worries. By this time I sat in despair and noted the old electric cigarette dispensing machine from the 90s and started to count the amount of dead plants in pots around the breakfast room (our kid pointed out the family of woodlouse in one pot!). When it came to checking out I showed them a picture of the abysmal breakfast and asked for a discount (we offered to pay for what we grimacingly ate), pointing out the mushrooms looked like cockroaches. The staff there have no autonomy and apparently the manager needed to be rung to give us a ÂŁ6 discount. My husband just wanted to go by this time and insisted we just paid for the breakfast and left before I turned into a complete Karen. This is literally the first time I’ve left a review on here, I felt so completed from the awful experience. He booked a family night in London for my birthday, paid ÂŁ160 and didn’t read the reviews, poor guy! You’ll remember this hotel for all the wrong reasons.

    Very convenient location with old-fashioned facilities

    rating23 Jan 2025

    Stayed on Dec 31, arriving from Tokyo and moving on to Germany early next morning. Just a few minutes walk from Earl's Court stn. My room was small and electricity voltage was low so my iPhone couldn't get charged but the staff was kind and I could see a part of new-year fireworks, exactly the same one as I was watching on BBC. Price/quality-wise I felt it was a little too expensive, but it was the new-year eve, so no complain.
