Mouse in the apartment and no solution offered!

    rating14 Mar 2026

There is a MOUSE in my apartment, i have my two children with me, and the answer is get from the desk is that the mice should run out when they see people, and the reason they’re there is probably because the former residents have left some crumbs. So noone cleaned the apartment before us? Are we supposed to live with mice for a week? What???!!! Noone should stay here. Horrible!

Member of staff stole item from our room

    rating05 Dec 2025

My wife and daughter stayed. After the visit I had a message from them saying a pillow and its pillow case had gone missing. Without any contact I have been charged for it. Having spoken to my wife she confirmed there was only one pillow on one side of the bed on arrival but didn’t think anything of it. Btw, there is no list detailing what should be in the room. So my wife and daughter have been convicted of theft by the accommodation without having the chance to discuss. Let’s face it they could turn around and say a whole load of things have gone missing and I would have no recourse as they will deduct from the advance deposit made. Their actions are nothing short of disgusting and I will be reporting the hotel to the police as during my stay something has allegedly been stolen, probably by one of their members of staff!!I can see other reviews of this place where people have been accused of damage and other things gone missing and money taken off them. Do not go anywhere near this place unless you want your money stolen from you

Nell Gwynn House has faded away along with her luxury apartments.

    rating01 Nov 2025

Time has not been kind to this marvelous art deco building located on Sloane Ave, Chelsea, not far from Kings Road. They advertise “luxurious” apartments and while there may be some, ours and three others I viewed, were far from luxury. We initially booked a studio but what you see is not necessarily what you get. Once we arrived we were able to upgrade to a 1 bedroom apartment. I was kindly given my choice and shown 3 other apartments on the first, third and fourth floor. Cleanliness, or the lack thereof is definitely an issue. I normally give both hotel rooms and apartments a quick wipe down with bacterial wipes when we arrive, regardless of the accommodations ratings. However, I was shocked as to how much dirt came up with the wipes. The apartment has the basics but nothing that makes it luxurious. No coffee pot but there was a kettle and a French press. Absolutely no space in cabinets to put any purchased foods or kitchen necessities. No laundry detergent was provided but a small bottle of dishwashing liquid, some pods for the dishwasher, one kitchen towel and a very small sponge. Two rolls of toilet paper are provided at the beginning of your stay. The glaring anti-luxurious amenities include broken window panes, stained carpet, stained upholstery on both couch and chair. The couch is terribly uncomfortable, like sitting on a rock. The lighting is recessed in the ceiling only and there’s a bulb out in both the living area and the bedroom. The bedroom does have two sconces on either side of the bed which adds some ambience which is missing in the rest of the apartment. However, only one night table with two drawers for one side of the bed, all other clothes can either be hung up or stay in your suitcase. There’s a worn throw at the foot of the bed that needs a good laundering. There’s a washer that looks like it’s been taped into its storage closet but it works. There are no instructions anywhere for the washer so we had to look up the manual online. We had a rough idea how it worked but there were a few things we needed clarification on. There is a microwave but I’m 5’4 and it’s too high to safely let me take anything out of it that’s been heated. There are no basics such as sugar, salt and pepper or tea. There was supposed to be a welcome basket of these things but we never received them. The bathroom you enter at your own peril. There is both a bath and an overhead shower but climbing in to either is a challenge in both maneuvering and balance. The toilet sits so close to the tub and the glass partition that it makes it difficult to safely enter the tub or shower. The glass partition opens about 8 inches before it hits the pedestal sink. You get two bath towels and my hand towels for two people for 7 days. There is a towel warmer which you can hang your towels on but not another single hook or towel rack anywhere in the bathroom and limited places to place any toiletries. There is plenty of room for hooks either on the door, to the left of the toilet, behind the toilet and to the left of the mirror. A lost opportunity to make something better. There is a window in the bathroom, original to the building I believe (which was 1936) but you have to step into the tub to open or close it and it takes a bit of strength. This is not an apartment for anyone that may have even slight mobility or balance issues.I don’t know if the flat has been painted recently but whoever did it did a poor job. There is paint everywhere from the door handles to the front of the oven. And many areas could use a 2nd coat. There is really no place to store your luggage on the provided luggage rack except in the living room. If you have a small case you might be able to place it inside the closet. The heat works great but we didn’t need it. The temps were in the 50’s but we needed the fan, which thank goodness they have. If we could leave the windows open that would help but the neighbors are noisy until the early hours of the morning and they were so loud you would think they were in the same room with you. The neighbors on the other side were constantly telling them to ”shut up” or “shut their window” but their pleas were ignored. There is an iron, don’t know if it works yet. A decent hair dryer but a mirror a little closer to an outlet would help with drying or styling your hair. The bathroom door squeaks something fierce, except two or three odd occasions during the day but I no idea why. I’ve asked to have it oiled but after 7 days, still squeaking. There is a TV that you can use your own Netflix or Amazon prime on.Not luxurious to say the least. It’s run down, tired and needs some TLC. It needs better lighting, more comfortable furniture (which looks like a mish mash from a car boot sale or flea market) some simple instructions for the fast wash on the washer, some hooks to hang coats, shopping bags, towels, an extra garbage liner and cleaning and towel replacements every 4 days. More hangars since there’s no place to store clothes. Someone with a little creativity could make this into a really nice place. That someone hasn’t come along yet. Most of the desk staff is great. Easy to have packages received. They can call you a taxi quickly and that’s always appreciated.

!!Stay clear of MICHELLE and MARIA Worst customer service in my life!! MICHELLE was a severely unhelpful, untrustworthy and nasty piece of work.MARIA was condescending, self centred and unbelievably passive aggressive in her emails. You go to these people to seek help as the paying customer but are met with 2 of the worst pieces of service you could find, it’s laughable people like this get into these positions.Stayed over a weekend to enjoy London and stayed in a very average room for the price. They STOLE £83 from us, I deposited £500 and took pictures of the entire room. Upon leaving they said I would have my money returned. We had to get in touch with them to enquire about it and to our shock they have claimed we broken the smallest corner of their outdated and cheap fridge. They then sent an invoice of £83 for parts that weren’t even broken and provided 0 evidence to back it up, a little fishy isn’t it. We are a young couple and they took severe advantage of us. At this point it’s not about the money it’s just the morales and these people have been clearly raised without them. Wherever we go we want to enjoy ourselves and take pride in looking after our accommodation as we know how hard some service workers have it, but this place deserved nothing of the such. Entered the bed and to my disgust there were brown splatters on the bed, god only knows what it could have been and I had to sleep on it for a night. Zero apologies and no remorse for what ever I could have contracted. No air con lead to a very stuffy and uncomfortable room with flimbsy windows you are afraid to touch in case they try and take more money from you! Grumpy and lazy receptionists who were reluctant to help or make conversation. They wished us well and hoped we’d return after constant unhelpful back and forth trying to justify their actions and their blatant lies. I couldn’t not recommend this place any more and I hope anyone who reads this changes their mind on staying. (Left some attached photos of the state of the room, the bedsheets I slept in and the tragic damage that was done to the poor little shelf )
