  Great location in Kensington- very convenient to tube and we navigated around the city easily. The whole neighborhood is clean, safe and has plenty of food and lite grocery options. The apartment was great- spacious, comfortable and incredibly clean. The bathrooms were excellent. And having a full kitchen with W/D allows us to pack less. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back!

  Good location, but a difficult experience with the elevator

  The location is ideal for visiting London, close to the Underground and many bus routes. The apartment is clean, and the kitchen is convenient when traveling with young children.However, the main issue is the elevator. For this reason alone, I would not stay here again. We were on the 6th floor with two young children and a baby, and the elevator was constantly getting stuck. This often happened because previous users did not properly close the doors.Each time, my husband had to go floor by floor to find where the elevator was stuck in order to close the doors. I honestly don’t know how a single person with young children would have managed in this situation. Will Mbwanda, General Manager at No 1. However, I am deeply sorry to learn about the significant frustration and difficulty you experienced with our lift, especially while travelling with young children and a baby. As a heritage property, our building features a traditional lift mechanism that requires both doors to be completely and manually closed by users on every floor to remain operational. It is incredibly disappointing when other occupants inadvertently leave a door ajar, and I completely understand how stressful and taxing it must have been for your husband to manually inspect each floor to resolve this. Please be assured that our team is always available to immediately handle these situations so that our guests do not have to look for the lift themselves. If you had come into our 24 hour reception a member of staff would happily went and brought down the lift for you. We do clear signage inside the lift but unfortunately some guests tend to skip the message .We genuinely appreciate your constructive review, as it assists us in improving our daily operations.   NO Air conditioning and unbearable to sleep

  The only negative was the room temperature. +32 degrees and only dropped to 29 overnight. I honestly would expect air conditioning from accommodation in this price bracket. We had to check out a day early due to the heat. The only thing offered was a small fan which pushed the heat around.It is a shame to write a quite negative review as everything else was as expected or better.Great location for entering the centre of London by tube. To help guests stay comfortable during warmer periods, we provide both a tower fan and an additional portable fan in every apartment. We fully understand how uncomfortable the high humidity made that initial evening. Fortunately, the exceptional heatwave broke the following night, and temperatures dropped back to much more reasonable, seasonal levels.
