  Worst customer service and communication imaginable. Avoid like the plague!

  Avoid the whole OYO chain like the plague. Booked the OYO Sussex for the 2nd August to stay in London for one night after the Oasis concert. I checked the hotel a few days before arrival to see nearby restaurants. It said that the hotel was ‘permanently closed’ on Google but I had heard nothing from the hotel about this at all. I contacted them and was told that there would be no room available for us and that the hotel wasn’t actually closed but was operating on a ‘council contract’ only. They then refused to offer me a refund through booking.com. I have contacted OYO several times and have been told by various people that someone would contact me regarding a refund but still no luck. I had to pay another £190 to book a different hotel so I am £180 out of pocket. If you are looking to book a hotelIn London, then DO NOT book anything with OYO as their customer service and communication is absolutely terrible.

  Booked 9 months ago for our stay today got email saying you have cancelled our booking shocking so glad we are not staying here the reviews are terrible run down and dirty will never book with you ever again thankyou OYO very disapointed

  Absolutely total con artists/ScammersBooked this place back in April 2023 for a 3 night stay, 2 rooms from 17th November. Today I received a email to say that I had cancelled the reservation (WHICH I HAD NOT). They took a payment of £12 back in April and had the audacity to blame me for cancelling the booking and taking the full payment from my account today. I phoned the hotel to be told that there was un foreseeable circumstances and that they had cancelled my booking but had also charged me. I asked what the circumstances were and was told that the Hotel had closed. I will be checking this out next Friday when we visit London. Watch this space .

  Unhygienic & Squalid Hotel

  Almost certainly the worste hotel I've ever stayed at in terms of hygiene and condition of the room. If you like mold, old toilet paper squasehed into holes in the bathroom, previous visitors urine and pubic hairs over the ensuite toilet and bits of skirting board and door trim missing then this is the hotel for you. I contacted the hotel, they weren't interested. Shame the rating choices didn't include squalid this pretty well sums up our room!

  Perfect location for Hyde park events, decent price. Chose private bedroom option which is on the top floor (level 3) no lifts presents: note not suitable for disabled. Staircase is a little steep and the final set the banister is very loose (temp repaired as you can see the screws) rooms are a little worn and could do with a re-paint. Nice fan provided in the room as it was very warm during the day and night here. Few hangers in the cupboard, two sets of towels provided. Nice tv with Netflix and prime built in. Bathroom light doesn’t work without the main light being on. Nice long mirror in the room to get ready. Window opens for some fresh air. Wifi provided but didn’t connect to unable to comment on signal but I’m guessing the tv was connected and we didn’t have any problem watching Netflix. Small bin in room and small bin in the bathroom (wasn’t emptied from previous guest with dirty sanitary items) plenty of power plugs and usb sockets. Small kettle with tea and coffee provided. Friendly staff on arrival. She mentioned it was 24/7 check in around 3pm and out by 12. Would recommend and would use again.
