Tiny rooms, poor service, and small beds in a crammed space.

    rating28 Apr 2026

The room was tiny and the double bed was crammed into wall with no room to move around it. Def not a 4 star hotel. Breakfast ok but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Wardrobe not fit for purpose as the safe prevents and clothes hanging. Bathroom tiny and toilet poorly placed. Def wouldn’t recommend staying here Ms Nema Da Silva, General Manager at Park Grand Paddington Court, responded to this review Dear Ciaran,Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the room size, layout, and facilities did not meet your expectations. Your comments have been noted for improvement. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again for a better experience.Kind regards,Park Grand Paddington Court

    Exceeded expectations

    rating25 Apr 2026

Exceptional value for money.Paid GBP85 for one night, midweek. Bear in mind that the Travelodge down the road was wanting GBP179 for the same night. Very easy to find from Paddington station - exit station, turn right walk 6 or 7 minutes down the road and it is on a corner a few blocks down.My expectations were very measured (especially after reading some of the reviews here). I have to say that my stay far exceeded these expectations.I arrived at 6:30am and just wanted to store my bags to check in time at 3pm. I was warmly welcomed and and the receptionist was very polite and professional.Returned later and again greeted by friendly staff who gave me my key to room 129. A lift was available but I just took the stairs. The room was great. I am not sure if there are different categories of rooms (I booked the absolute cheapest) but it looked EXACTLY like the pictures on the website (which is rare!). Yes it was small but this is Europe - standard. It was immaculate, nicely appointed, kettle with tea, coffee and biscuits, a microwave and a fridge. My window (which I could open) faced a quiet courtyard garden.I had a great sleep, very comfortable bed. I was leaving at 6:30am the next day so did not take breakfast. The breakfast costs GBP12.95 if you pay on arrival or GBP16.95 is you just turn up on the day. Not sure what it includes but in a city where you can't get a take away coffee for less than GBP5 I would say it is pretty good value even if it isn't a lavish buffet.Check out - again, friendly, efficient, no issues.Would highly recommend. Awful

    rating15 Apr 2026

Not only did we have to walk up four flights of stairs to get to our room as there was no lift, the bed we got after travelling all day had a massive hole in the middle. We went down and got another room and after a full day, we came back to find the card holder falling off the wall and none of the electrics working! We went back down to complain and got told there was nothing they could do but we persisted and suddenly they found a room right beside where we were. Each room was very cramped as not described. Very disappointed with this hotel and only going it a 2 star review because of the kind receptionist that we talked to. Would not recommend here at all! Ms Nema Da Silva, General Manager at Park Grand Paddington Court, responded to this review Dear 7augusth,Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the stairs, room condition, and electrics, and we understand how frustrating this must have been.We regret that your concerns were not resolved promptly, although we are glad our receptionist was able to assist you during your stay. Your comments have been noted and will be shared with the team to improve our services. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.Kind regards,Park Grand Paddington Court

    Wrong choice for relaxation.

    rating29 Mar 2026

Arrived and had not best experience. Their main website suggested a restaurant was available...it is only for breakfast. The lounge bar never seemed to be available when I might have wanted a drink...be it coffee or alcoholic. First room (119) Tiny room, nothing 'delux' despite booking a delux room. The tea/coffee facilities around average. The UHT milk CURDLED when I made coffee. There was a microwave and fridge, however these shared my wardrobe space, leaving very little for clothes...because the ironing board, iron and hairdryer along with safe were also competing for space. You couldn't store your case realistically speaking....if like many people they were travelling..Placed in the side wing with a supposedly quiet room...not so quiet at night. The view...err fine if you want peeling paint and pipes and the ventilation area....dark and oh so close to the neighbours in rooms opposite. At night the air-conditioning/ventilation system went into what seemed like overdrive. Imagine being next to your washing machine on spin....continously which every 5 minutes went onto super spin with high pitch sound to match....then you'll appreciate not a quiet room.I got so traumatised that I moved room at about 0200...Room 502 is across the road...1 of 3 additional buildings separate from the main hotel. 30% quieter but needed ear plugs. This room better appointed space wise. ...alas no microwave- I had planned hot chocolate before bed.Breakfast was good value for money, with a buffet. However skip porridge as this was like a thin soup with raw oats. Ms Nema Da Silva, General Manager at Park Grand Paddington Court, responded to this review Dear J4999FFkarena,Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry your stay did not meet expectations. We apologise for the confusion about our restaurant and bar, as well as the issues with your room, including size, storage, noise, and the unacceptable refreshment quality. We also regret the inconvenience of needing to move rooms during the night. We appreciate your positive note on breakfast value and will review the concerns you raised to improve our services. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again for a better experience.Kind regards,Park Grand Paddington Court
