Not bad, not great, distinctly average

First things first, this hotel is nowhere near a 4 star. It should be a three at best. The location cannot be faulted - literally a couple of minutes walk from Paddington station, and not much further to Hyde Park. I've stayed in this area before as a solo traveller and never felt unsafe, even returning late in the evening. The room was small with a tiny bathroom, but I've experienced this before in London. My room was clean, but definitely shabby. Clunky air conditioning that stopped working on my second night, luckily it wasn't too hot in May. My room also had no fridge which I thought unusual but again not a massive issue. The breakfast was alright, pretty standard continental and full English - I can only speak for the toast & pastries because I'm not a fan of a hot breakfast but it seemed popular enough! The staff were all pleasant and friendly although my main feedback to the guy who checked me in would be to not read out the room number for solo travellers, in fact for anyone! We can clearly see it written down on the card and it's much safer not to read it aloud for anyone to overhear! I found the bed quite comfortable, the towels hilariously small and overall it wasn't a terrible stay but I wouldn't rush back. I have stayed in other hotels in the Paddington area that, while still small, were less shabby and tired.

    Quality Hotel

    rating01 May 2026

Hi all I stayed here in March of this year with my two children 17 and 13 it was for a two day one night stay while we seen the sights of London and went to the theatre that night, on our way home from the theatre I was knocked down by an electric bike, I got cab to our hotel as I just thought it was a sprain to my ankle! The hotel staff couldn't have done enough for us that night and the next morning at 6am I had to attend the hospital and would be there for a few hours I had to be put into a cast and prepared for a night time flight to Dublin which I was going straight to hospital as I fractured my talus bone! I had asked the staff if I could pay to hold the room longer as myself and children would like to rest for a few hours when we got back from hospital, they kindly allowed us the use of our room Complementary, they were honestly so kind and helpful and made an awful situation so much better, the hotel is so beautiful and while I didn't get to fully enjoy it properly I will definitely return to do so but I would highly recommend staying 😊

    Don’t go there

    rating26 Apr 2026

We booked a delux room, goodness knows what a standard room was like!It was so small we had to climb over each other to get in and out of bed as you can’t walk round the bottom of the bed! No good when you are in your 70s!!The bathroom shower was short if you were tall you would fit under it and the screen wouldn’t open or close as it was wedged against the toilet, the bath towels were hardly bigger than a hand towel. The restaurant was open at 7am and we had a hospital appointment so had to be in and out. No bacon or sausage until 7.20 and cold plates. The only good thing was it’s close to Kensington gardens, Hyde park and Paddington station.Definitely would not recommend this hotel.

Comfortable but not deluxe as advertised

    rating08 Apr 2026

Great location and bed comfortable but very tatty decor. Smaller room than expected and definitely not deluxe. Would list as standard at best. Wallpaper very old and hanging off. No remote and basic free view. Bathroom was fine. Could hear everything from corridor and adjacent room so take earplugs. Room had internal stairs as well.

Nice hotel, good location but paper cups at breakfast. Why?

    rating05 Apr 2026

This is our second trip to the Park Grand, although our last visit was before covid. Overall the hotel doesnt disappoint. It's in a lovely location, with many london attractions near by. The hotel is clean, staff helpful and breakfast good. However, in comparison to 7 years ago standards have slipped a little, for example at breakfast there are no glasses for juice or water, only paper cups, which makes breakfast feel more budget, and at the end of the day im sitting in not having a taje away! Also a little strange, coffee was served in a tea pot!! Not a coffee pot or via a help serve machine. These are very small things, but to not offer guests glasses with breakfast is unnecessary, and to use the wrong catering utensils was something, which knocked the breakfast experience a little, and de-valued the ambience. But overall a good hotel still
