    Disgusting

This dump is a cross between faulty towers and bates motel. Disgusting tired vile establishment. Great location but needs some TLC

    rating27 Sept 2025

The outside of the building is what I would consider a traditional older style hotel, & looks very nice. However, once inside you notice that there is some cosmetic work needed. The chairs in the reception area are worn & split. The outdoor area could be lovely, with a refreshment trolley out there & small pergola, unfortunately, the deck had holes in it making it really unsafe to be walking on & the garden was rather neglected. The reception staff were pleasant & the gentleman who checked us in moved our luggage into our room, once it was ready, as we were off sightseeing. The reception hours were advertised but in reality they were inconsistent, unsure if this was related to illness or other reasons. The room was compact & we were lucky enough to have a fridge & microwave. Unfortunately, the fridge worked a little inconsistently, which was problematic when we had food stored in it & the carpet was looking a little worn. The TV had vertical lines in it. There were no USB charging outlets, so an adapter is required if coming from a country that does not have the same plug set up. Tea/coffee/biscuits plus crockery & cutlery provided in the room & replenished daily. The bed was quite uncomfortable, but as mentioned clean & housekeeping was performed daily. The room would benefit from some updating. Shampoo/bodywash/moisturiser provided in individual bottles, hair dryer available in room. Unfortunately, you could hear guests walking around on the floor above on squeaky floor boards. There is no lift & only 3 rooms on the ground floor. The breakfast room was on the lowest level, so stairs need to be negotiated.Breakfast was good, although the breakfast room was snug. The kitchen staff were very friendly & obliging. On the first night of our stay, the fire alarm went off at 10pm due to steam from a guests showering. We all had to evacuate & waiting for a staff member to arrive from an associated hotel 7mins away as the hotel does not have 24/7 staffing. This was a little frustrating, especially when a couple of the displayed contact numbers did not connect.Overall, we were happy with our stay in relation to major attractions. This was important since the underground were on strike while we were there. Had the trains been running, there were several stations in close proximity to the hotel. The hotel would really benefit from investment & maintenance. RegencyHouse Hotel london, Owner at Regency House Hotel, responded to this review Dear Leanne,Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed our central location and found our team friendly and helpful, as well as appreciating the cleanliness and daily housekeeping. As a centrally located period property, we do retain many original features, and while we aim to maintain these, we also continue to review areas for improvement. Small single room , very clean, great breakfast, good front of house, ladies serving breakfast are the best, best position in London, walking distance to Euston and west end. Dnt expect 5* luxury but I paid a very reasonable price to stay . 10 mins walk to station and 15 mins walk to my theatre show RegencyHouse Hotel london, Owner at Regency House Hotel, responded to this review Dear Freedom819808, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.Lovely to hear that you liked the room and our central location was a plus for you. Great little place!

    rating16 May 2025

Great place to stay. Really friendly and helpful staff. I had a single room which was a bit cosy, but perfect for one person. Bedding and towels very clean. More amenities in the room than you would get in a chain hotel. And breakfast included, what more can you ask for. I would definitely book to stay here again. Small rooms but ideal for 1 night -good value

    rating11 Apr 2025

Read the reviews here and think a few are unfair - my experience of the hotel was very positive - we arrived very early and the receptionist checked if the room was ready and checked us in no problem - thank you for that - the rooms small -bed very comfortably - even a fridge and microwave in room - we stayed one night to go to a west end theater show - Oliver - highly recommended BTW - you can easily walk from Euston station 15 mins- and a bit further to the West end - 20 mins - but all on a straight road - Full English Breakfast was excellent I made it my business to thank the kitchen staff - so for 1 night, and the price we paid with early check in and full English breakfast for 2 which was very nice - I am giving this place 5 stars - - will return - thank you to all at the Regency - and well done for giving us a very pleasant stay in London.
