Facility

The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services and facilities include a baggage storage service, a safe, a TV room, a banquet hall, a smoke alarm and a smoking area. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. Film fans will find plenty of 'lights, camera, action' at the cinema. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park.

Rooms

Central heating ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. The hostel has non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The sports and entertainment facilities at the hostel ensure that guests have plenty of activities to choose from during their stay. Fine weather can be enjoyed on the terrace. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hostel, including a gym, table tennis and aerobics. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

    Highly Disappointed by the Lack of Honesty, Misinformation and lack Professionalism.

    We are extremely disappointed with our experience at this accommodation. When we booked the room, the listing clearly stated that the room included a private toilet and bathroom, which was one of the main reasons we chose this property. However, upon check-in, we were shocked to discover that there was no private toilet or bathroom at all.This was clearly misleading and false information. When we raised the issue with the staff, they did not apologize or try to resolve the situation. Instead, they blamed us and said it was our mistake, even though the listing was very clear during booking.Because of this misinformation and the poor customer service, we were very uncomfortable staying there and decided to leave the property immediately. Despite this, they refused to provide any refund.This experience was very frustrating and disappointing. We would not recommend this property to others due to the misleading listing and lack of professionalism in handling customer concerns.

    I had a lovely stay at St. James. The location is very good, close to lots of places. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. And they keep the rooms and common areas nice and clean. Breakfast is generous and if you register for dinner in the morning you can get a plate of decent food for dinner. The only drawback for my was that there is not a dedicated quiet workspace for holding meetings. As a remote worker that was a challenge for me as I meeting with clients sometimes several times per day.

    Only stayed one night but loved the vibe and the friendly atmosphere. Its a great location, quiet and easy to get around London either walking or using the tube (4 min walk away), etc. Great value with the breakfast and dinner included and the comfortable shared spaces. The shared toilets/showers were clean (beware of the jet wash shower though ;-)) and the rooms are basic but everything you'd expect from a busy hostel. Good service from the team there too and would defo recommend.

    Dear All,Hope you are well. The experience for me at St James Backpackers Earl's Court is that it has been beyond my expectation. The place is newly, beautifully redecorated and improved with a brand new Ladies. Location and free breakfast and dinner is good, overall a very good value accommodation option .I would like to write this review by way of my sincere appreciation to Everyone at St James Backpackers Earl's Court for their true dedication and professionalism to make each day a nice one for guests. I arrived at the Hostel on 7 April 2026 , receptionist Olivia nicely greeted me as well as helped with my luggage . Guests have said to me they would stay on for a more days . Each day more good things and improvements happen in this wonderful Hostel during my stay which makes me appreciate more the priceless value of Your Wonderful Staff, especially that of Eoin , Rebecca , Mike , the Portuguese breakfast male Chef as well as the the whole House Keeping Team . Everyone at this wonderful hostel are very naturally considerate, enthusiastic and professional for which guests would be extremely grateful.I cannot Thank You Management and Staff enough for your good heart . May You , Yours and All be always Healthy, Happy and Successful!!!Please keep up the excellent work!!! Have a great day!THANKS!!!

    Great place to stay, Saint James Backpackers is a Home away from Home. It exceeded my expectations. The volunteers are great and hard working especially Kelvin His a great cook and very entertaining. The staffs are also great.
