This stylish hotel is ideally situated at the heart of the London district of Kensington and is the top address for visitors of London looking for sophisticated accommodation. Facility

The hotel was built in 1876. 40 suites, 36 single rooms and 136 double rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Services such as a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. There are a number of shops as well.     Rooms are not like the photos

    The positives : I booked this hotel due to its location, and that did not disappoint. It was easy to get to and from the airport and had lots of dining options close by. We had high hopes with a lovely grand foyer and porters to open the door and assist with luggage. I had even visited the hotel in March to ask if they had rooms with stand alone showers to which I was advised that they do and to request it when booking. Negatives: We paid for a Deluxe Double room and had requested a stand alone shower. The website describes the room as spacious, light and airy with modern amenities and sleeps 3 people. It’s even described as a chic boutique hotel. This is the complete opposite of room 117. This room was extremely dark with no overhead lighting, chipped furnishings, dirty and old carpet and an awful smell in the corridor. The window was small so the room was devoid of natural light and it certainly would not sleep up to 3 people as advertised. The safe was on the floor in the wardrobe so it was difficult to access and the wardrobe contained only 4 coat hangers and no drawers. When I mentioned to the receptionist showing me the room that it looked nothing like the pictures on the web she just commented saying I should have booked direct and handed me a business card. I explained I booked through Luxury Escapes as I had a credit to use as I had cancelled my original London booking. Just because I booked through a 3rd party shouldn’t have meant I got an inferior room. The porters/ doormen were polite but only once in 5 days were we given any acknowledgement or a hello from the reception staff. Upon check out the receptionist said there’s no more to pay and continued to type on the keyboard. No thank you, how was your stay or hope you enjoyed your stay. Poor customer service skills. Would definitely stay in the area again but would look for a nicer hotel for the money paid. Overall very disappointing for the cost. Obviously all the great reviews aren’t of the room I was allocated. I did not take the breakfast option so I cannot comment on the restaurant and its services.     Try The Bugis Singapore Restaurant at The Bailey’s Hotel

    We had a lovely lunch at The Bugis Singapore Restaurant, the restaurant at The Bailey’s Hotel. Decor was elegant but not stuffy. Food was absolutely delicious - recommend the Hainanese Chicken Rice (ultimate comfort food), Crispy Tofu and Prawn Toast (which was massive!). To top it off, the service was impeccable, led by the friendly, hospitable Eva. We will definitely be back.     Don't waste any effort on membership My Millennium cost time and efforts

    We signed up to join My Millennium as we're having a meal in their Singapore Bugis restaurant it's expensive but delicious By joining you receive a 15% discount if you use their restaurant. The restaurant stated this will be deducted by the reception team on leaving the hotel. After 2 nights I collected my bill and asked if this was deducted No as I never booked this via the reception! I was in line for over 20 mins as I asked where it stated you book via reception! It does not state. The lines behind me were building up so I decided to pay and go. Ruined a two night stay. Your trying to build members and you have just tarnished your reputation.
