    Excellence!

Excellent location, staff, room and comfort. Didn’t get to try the on-site dining options but these looked equally appealing. Would highly recommend.

    The perfect London stay

    rating12 Jun 2026

An exceptional experience. It has the perfect balance of size not too big not too small. Incredible customer service- the front desk manager resolved a room issue immaculately, the main bar is wonderful, the downstairs jazz was a fantastic end to the day. Had one of the best breakfast ever downstairs (pre book the day before for a cheaper price). It’s worth the cost!If you want a lovely boutique hotel that makes you feel welcome in central London you can’t go wrong Suhaina Suhaina, Guest Services / Front Office at The Bloomsbury Hotel, responded to this review Dear Flash1979_12,Thank you for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the balance and atmosphere of the hotel, and that our team helped make your stay so memorable. Not a luxury Hotel

    rating08 Jun 2026

Came to London for 2 nights with me and my partner and stayed in a classic King Bed Room. We wanted to go somewhere special as it was our 18 year anniversary. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and felt pleasant as you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately when we got to our room, it was like a sauna. I thought that as no one has been in the room for a while the a/c hasn't been turned on. We unpacked all of our things, turned on the A/C and left the room. We came back some time later and the room was still very warm. We was also right next to the service hatch as well which kept on opening and closing all day and evening (making a loud banging sound) which I wasn't happy about. As we were so tired, we ended up having an early night. Because the room was so hot, me and partner had the worst sleep I've ever had at a hotel. You don't expect this from a 3 star hotel let alone a 5 star. The next morning the room was getting unbearable so we contacted reception to get the engineer to look at it. He said to us that you are in an older room and the A/C doesn't work very well. No offer of a different room just a portable fan which circulated warm air already in small room. When we came back from a theatre show in the evening, we wanted to visit the Bloomsbury Club as they had a live Jazz band. Our slot was at 10:15 but we ended up getting back to the hotel by 21:00. We asked reception if we could move our slot to 9:15 which they confirmed the bar was full with no space. However, we then checked online and the bar had every time slot available. We were obviously lied to and again not what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. We again didn't have any sleep in the room on our second night. Having paid nearly £900. I don't like to complain as this puts a negative spin on your stay, so I decided to speak to the duty manager upon check out. They didn't offer us any refund on the room at all. All they did was apologise and gave us £40 off the bill at the bar which me and my partner at 2 cocktails. Will never stay here again and advise anyone looking for comfort and luxury, this isn't it. Prem Kochman, Guest Services / Front Office at The Bloomsbury Hotel, responded to this review Dear Mr si888-1Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for choosing to celebrate your anniversary with us.Whilst I was pleased to read that you received a warm welcome on arrival, I am truly sorry that aspects of your stay fell short of expectations, particularly with regard to the temperature in your room and the resulting impact on your comfort. We thoroughly investigated the concerns raised and regret that we were unable to reach a resolution that met your expectations on this occasion. Nevertheless, we remain grateful for the opportunity to have engaged with you directly and appreciate you sharing your experience. We wish you and your partner all the very best and thank you once again for your feedback.Should you reconsider staying with us in the future, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at Prem_Kochman@doylecollection.com.
