Check in quick and fellow polite. Plenty of free parking. Near several restaurants/ takeaways. Stayed here many times. Each room has its own quirks. Stayed in room 224 this time. Has bedside lights but you cannot operate them independently. Turn the main light off next to the bed or the entrance and the bedside goes off as well. So you have brights lights all the time or darkness. None slip mats in the shower would be great. Usually get bottled water but nothing this time. Room and bathroom clean.

I stayed at Chiltern Hotel Ltd in Luton, and I received a parking charge notice during my stay. I contacted the hotel multiple times (10 emails) asking them to confirm my booking to the parking operator, but they failed to provide any assistance. They repeatedly asked for details they already had, without resolving the issue. This poor communication and lack of support caused me stress and almost caused additional fines. I do not recommend this hotel until they fix their customer service and take responsibility for guests’ welfare.

I attended a private family celebration and was impressed by the staff and the service that they provided . The overall impression I had of the hotel and its facilities was good.

    Steer clear

If you’re thinking of booking this venue for a wedding/reception or any other special occasion, save yourself the heartache. I recently had my daughter’s wedding reception there and oh boy what an absolute shambles! Delia - the so called events coordinator, well she sold us dreams telling us how she would be managing everything, we wouldn’t have to worry about a thing. She would be on hand from start to finish for our event. We told her our requirements, we wanted segregation, on the day delia is nowhere to be found, I called her she is a hour away, and won’t be coming in anytime soon! My guests are about to arrive and the segregation isn’t even done! Umar and another guy, who were at the front desk were extremely helpful, I had to get my family to help move tables and chairs, favours hadn’t been put out again as promised by delia. The stage is outdated and the furniture is tattered and stained. No welcome drinks, the bridal suite is a joke there isn’t even a mirror there! Food was served very sparingly, I asked for top ups and was told by delia that it’s coming, but never came instead the mains were brought out. The curry was swimming in oil, I’ve never seen so much oil in my life! then you realise why the food was so sparse when you see the workers going home with big doggy bags! Delia makes out she’s given you the remaining food but that’s after the staff have taken their share. The toilets are in the basement and there’s no working lift, what are you supposed to do with elderly guests? Delia was very apologetic after her cock up but the whole experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn’t book this venue if it was given to me for half price.

    Appalling

Absolutely terrible customer service. Called the hotel to enquire about holding a wedding reception in the function they room they have and the women on the phone was absolutely appalling. First thing she asked me was “is it an Asian wedding” I said no, she said: “ohhh mmm” (as if it was a disappointment and she couldn’t help). Then said: in that case it’s £2000 for the room. Think the women has lost her marbles! I’m glad she was rude because I would of hated doing any business at this place as it’s in a horrible condition.
