    I booked The Dilly as part of a large group booking for work which included colleagues and investors, worth many thousands of pounds, and unfortunately the experience for the team was disappointing from start to finish.The hotel feels dated and in need of refurbishment. The rooms were noisy, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep, and the beds were uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the air conditioning was not working properly, and three members of our group had to change rooms because of issues with their accommodation. Basic amenities were also lacking – there was no soap provided in the room, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this standard.The service was equally disappointing. Staff were generally unhelpful, and a particularly frustrating experience occurred when we needed to make an additional room booking. Reception told us they could not assist, yet we were able to make the booking immediately over the phone. This unnecessary and illogical process created stress and inconvenience for our group.The food was very average and did not justify the prices charged. Overall, the hotel seemed to be relying heavily on its excellent location rather than delivering the level of service, comfort, and quality guests should expect.Given the amount our group spent, we expected a far higher standard of accommodation and customer service. Instead, it felt as though the hotel was taking advantage of its prime location and making little effort to provide a memorable guest experience.

    Very disappoonting i hwve genuinely stayed in cleaner and more updated weatherspoons! Tv was awful and had no smart features, cheap room condiments and bathroom supplies, dirty and dusty behind all furnitire (old and tired damaged!)

    My husband and I stayed at the Dilly to celebrate both our anniversary and a birthday. The amazing staff at the Dilly not only upgraded our room to a suite, they decorated the room with flowers and balloons and gave us a bottle of fizz to help us celebrate. A wonderful surprise , thanks to the Dilly team

    We had such a great time for our first afternoon tea. I love that we chose this one out of all of our options. Nayan was our server and did an amazing job guiding us through our experience. He was great with the kids and made it the best experience for all of us!!

    We had booked a standard room with breakfast, but the charming receptionist, Katerina, told us that because we had done this directly with the hotel, she would upgrade us to an executive roomGood start!The room was at the back of the hotel, spacious, comfortable, large bed. The electric shower, over the bath, was merely adequate in terms of water pressure.Staff were very friendly, and we sampled both bars where the drinks were reasonably priced and the pianist singer dynamic.Like another correspondent, we were awoken at 4.00 am by the noise of glass bottles being repeatedly shattered, presumably into a skip. This was a pity because the room - 319 - was otherwise quiet.The gym is surprisingly spacious and well equipped, and the square pool large.We stayed on a Friday night and the bill for bed and breakfast came to under £300. For a historic hotel of this quality bang on Piccadilly itself, that’s a terrific bargain.
