Way too small for 4 people, uncomfortable beds, no room for luggage...lack luster front desk and tepid greeting.

Currently staying here (June 19th) here and cannot believe the sad check in service and pathetic greeting. We called ahead twice to let them know our train from Scotland was delayed. I asked if they recommended taking a taxi from Euston or Victoria station. The nice lady on the phone checked and said Euston would be about 20£... it was closer to 60£. We expected some kind of welcome as it was after midnight and we're were obviously weary from travel. We pulled up the and the bellman stood near us and just watched as we struggled with our luggage and only AFTER we brought it inside and were 2 steps from the front desk, offered to help.No warm greetings...the lobby is small, bare and institutional. The elevator could not take the 4 of us, so my husband & the 2 nieces went ahead and I took the next lift. The room....I cannot believe this is the Deluxe room....so small..not one of us have room to open a suitcase unless it was opened on the bed.No place for belongings...no bedside drawers ... We are truly in a glorified closet.Bed is very springy and uncomfortable, you can feel the individual coils.I am so disappointed that we brought our 2 nieces here for their 1st experience in London.I have not idea why the ratings are so high....I do not recommend this place at all.

    Excellent!

This is our fourth visit to London, and our fourth consecutive stay at The Resident Victoria - and it won't be our last! We simply cannot recommend it enough. The location is perfect. Just a 5 to 7 minute walk from Victoria Station, it is ideal for us arriving from Gatwick on the Gatwick Express. Literally 2 minutes from Buckingham Palace and the beautiful parks, and no more than 15 to 20 minutes walk from other major tourist attractions. And if you don't feel like walking, Victoria tube station is just a 5 minute walk away - so you really are perfectly placed. The rooms are very comfortable, the beds are excellent, and the in-room kitchenette is a handy bonus, even if we didn't use it much. The room was serviced daily and to a consistently high standard. However, while the location is undeniably great, it is the staff and service that truly elevate this hotel to something special. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and you never feel like you are bothering them — they always make time for you with a genuine smile. The evening drinks is also a wonderful touch. Arriving back after a long day out to be welcomed with warm smiles and a glass of wine was a lovely surprise every time.A particular highlight during this stay — it was my wife's birthday, and I quietly asked the team if they could perhaps arrange something special in the room, fully expecting to pay for it. Without hesitation, they took it upon themselves to organise balloons, a birthday card, and a bottle of wine. When I offered to have it added to the room bill, they simply smiled and said it was their pleasure to help celebrate my wife's birthday. I was, quite frankly, speechless. In an age where profits so often take priority over genuine human connection, The Resident Victoria is a refreshing and heartwarming exception.Thank you to every single member of the team at The Resident Victoria. We will absolutely see you again very soon! 🥂
