  The staff are lovely... both reception and restaurant... they are helpful and kind... really lovely.We had 2 stays... First room excellent... the second room on the 5th floor was not!... very noisy due to air conditioning of the Co-op below... also a bad odour from the sink in the bathroom.

  During our stay at the hotel, we would like to highlight above all the work and attention of Ana, the woman who worked the night shift at reception. She quickly and very effectively resolved a problem we had with our neighbors in the next room, who were making a lot of noise, shouting, and were drunk. Ana handled the situation bravely and swiftly. We are very, very grateful; she is an impeccable professional.

  Part of my gripe with this hotel is really on the corporate website. The corporate website told me this was a comparable hotel to the one in Wimbledon - it is not! There is no AC at this location, which means it is not comparable. When I inquired with the front desk about the possibility of ending the reservation early to move to the hotel in Wimbledon, the agent actually laughed at me. Let me be clear, I understand the rules of the reservation and I understand that they had no obligation to help me and that my request was an exception. My issue is not with the decision not to help me, my issue is the response of, “ha ha ha, no.” A simple no without the laughing would have sufficed. The hotel is in disrepair, there is an unfortunate smell, you hear every tiny noise, and the room never cooled down even when it was downright cold outside with the window open. They do not clean the rooms either unless you stay for more than 6 nights. It gets 2 stars as it is a hotel and the room functioned (minus the shower that drained very slowly and made a huge mess with every shower). Another upside is the location. Very close to the south western rail, a bus stop, and multiple grocery stores. But it loses 3 stars for the rude staff, deferred maintenance, lack of service, and if I didn’t know better I would swear housekeeping slams doors on purpose. It is a discount hotel, I know that, but you can still be kind and deliver good service. Next time I go to visit the family member I was visiting, I will stay somewhere else.
