    Decent, modern hotel let down by poor staff manners

    I stayed here 2 nights in early June. The hotel is modern and the rooms are clean. Breakfast is ok, not great. Most staff are lovely and others, not so much. On day 2 of my stay a fire alarm went off just about 7am. After hoping it'd just stop, not smelling smoke or sending any danger I got out of bed, washed quickly and got dressed. By that stage, about ten minutes into the alarm, it stopped. I had another 90 minutes of sleep to catch up with, but couldn't get settled again. I felt awful all that day after about 5 and a half hours of treatment interrupted sleep... On checkout I asked the girl on reception what had happened. She said she could confirm the alarm went off. I was very aware of that... She said she couldn't provide any details and was quite rude. As a loyal Hilton customer for 22 years and a diamond member for more than 12, I can say that her attitude was 100% not up to Hilton standards. I'll stay anywhere else in future in Manchester. A simple apology would have gone a long way, being rude was not the right way to go.

    Stayed here for one night before the Manchester great run check in was easy with Jodie who was very informative about all the things I asked her about. Room was very nice overlooking the cricket pitch and very fresh an d new looking . Breakfast was very good I managed to make it back to the hotel in time and there was still plenty of food on offer . The train is a 2 minute walk away and runs into the city centre very frequently. Car parking is free and is in the main old Trafford car park all in all a good stay

    Me and my friend stayed here as we were attending a nearby event. We were served at the reception by a lovely guy who informed us that we had a room upgrade. We were blown away with the balcony overlooking the cricket field, the view was lovely. The room was in a clean and tidy condition with comfy beds. We paid for the breakfast which did not disappoint. Would definitely recommend.

    I came to watch Kiefer Sutherland at Manchester New Century Wall. If you are looking for somewhere quiet but close to the centre, this hotel is the perfect option. As per usual there were no problems. Thank you Kasie for your amazing customer service and kind personality. Also a massive thank you to Phillip for the complimentary upgrade. I had a lovely night's sleep with no distractions.
