    Disappointing stay. Serious hygiene issues

    Room 320Arrival fine but not particularly welcoming.Nice sized room and layout but no TV remote so had to call down to reception to bring one to the room.Awoke after the first night to find sewage water on the bathroom floor. On inspection the leak was from the bottom of the toilet. Making it worst I found a stuffed face towel had been placed in the gap. This was soden with sewage. This suggests it was a known issue but hadn't been addressed,Shocking. Reception was called and they moved us to a new room but not the start you want at 7am in the morning.The new room was fine but the shower room was very worn. Lots of mould in all corners and within the tiled area No replacement of towels, tea & coffee on the second day. Wasn't told you had to request to have the room made up daily.Electric socket not screwed to the wall, very loose didn't feel safe so didn't use.Overall a very poor experience unhygienic and very poor levels of cleanliness and service.     A nice hotel

    The hotel itself was lovely and in a great location, but unfortunately our check-in experience made us feel quite uncomfortable. Me and my partner had booked a double room, however the woman on reception repeatedly asked if we wanted a twin room even after we’d already said no. We are two girls and were clearly a couple, having walked in holding hands, so it felt awkward having to keep correcting it.What upset us more was the comment about providing two room keys “for all the footballers” we’d be bringing back. We understand it may have been intended as a joke, but it came across as inappropriate and made us feel judged rather than welcomed.We’ve stayed at Hotel Indigo locations all over the UK before and have never once been questioned or made to feel uncomfortable about booking a double room as a couple, which made this experience even more disappointing.Aside from that, the room itself was clean, modern and comfortable, and the location is excellent. It’s just a shame that the first impression of the stay was overshadowed by the receptionist’s comments.

    Great location next to the station. We stayed on our way to the airport due to train timings. Mo and moni on reception were very organised and friendly also the other lady who was on in the morning. We had an evening meal which was very good and breakfast also had everything you need. Also has a great chilled cafe where you can sit back and relax over a drink and a snack.
