This hotel is located on the corner of Portland Street and Princess Street in the heart of Manchester city centre, close to the Cultural Quarter. The bus station is 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel and Piccadilly Rail Station is a 10-minute walk away. Restaurants, bars and pubs are all within 800 m of the hotel. Manchester Airport is 14 km from the establishment.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1870. The hotel has 5 single rooms and 80 double rooms, which are located on 6 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Services such as a baggage storage service and a safe ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park.     Having stayed in the Townhouse on a number of occasions, I thought I knew what to expect. Normally very comfortable and relaxing. This stay was different though, a top floor room (504) which was unfortunately not very well appointed. Lighting was quite dim, the TV was so far to the side, you couldn't watch it from the bed and the position of the shower door made it extremely difficult to get in as the door was obstructed by the toilet.The worst part was the noise. The sound from the numerous pubs outside was booming in the room until 0030 which made it near impossible to sleep. The windows did next to nothing to block the sound.The curtains were sort of blackout, but not enough so as dawn broke, the room was lit up and woke me extremely early.Not ideal and out of all the times I have stayed in the Townhouse, this has to be the worst experience I've had.     I had great stay at the Townhouse Hotel Manchester. Great atmospheric vibe. Like to give a shoutout to Jahmiah and the other staff members that made my stay a great one. Rooms where cosy bathroom was amazing and the bed was really comfortable. This hotel is normally quite expensive but, I got a three night stay including breakfast for just. Over £200. Grat location only a few minutes from both station.
