  Visited with Johnson’s Coaches would say it’s one of the best hotel stays! The beds are comfortable, the rooms spacious and clean: with a beautiful river view and the staff are attentive and caring. It’s also a perfect central location with easy access to the city Food wise they really care: the breakfast buffet’s excellent, and the meals are very good: they make extra effort to listen to customers food requests/requirements. Just want to say a special thank you to Nicolas, Sam, Billy, Brandon, Voilet, Katlin and George they looked after myself and rest of the coach passengers beautifully.   I was at Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle from Sunday 14th June to Friday 19th June 2026 on a coach tour with Johnsons coaches. Absolutely loved the hotel, lovely River views. Friendly staff excellent food. Cannot wait to return.Loved Beamish, Alnwick Castle. Also loved Lindisfarne. The castle was interesting. Excellent views from hotel. Not really had much time.   Great Hotel

  We stayed from 12 to 15 June 2026 as part of a coach trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room was excellent apart from the bathroom, although very clean and serviceable, it does need an upgrade. The breakfast and evening meals were plentiful, we would like to mention Maisie (restaurant supervisor) for her attention to our request for a different main meal on one occasion, this was promptly arranged with no trouble at all. Every member of staff are a credit to the hotel (the management should be proud.) When we are back in Newcastle, we would not hesitate to stay here again.   The perfect wedding venue!!

  Me and my husband got married here at the weekend and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. I'm so glad we chose to get married at The Copthorne. The staff are an absolute credit to the hotel. They were amazing! The whole day ran so smoothly and nothing was too much for any of them. I stayed for two nights and the room was beautiful. All of our guests commented on how lovely the food was both day and night. Big thank you to Steph, Paul and Sam for all of their hard work and efforts with everything. Thank you for the most magical day and memories we will treasure forever and if anyone is considering The Copthorne Hotel, Newcastle as a wedding venue go for it!!   I enjoyed my stay at the Copthorne Hotel. Newcastle.  The room was very comfortable,  spacious with a great outlook over the river. It is situated in a really  handy area for the bars and restaurants  but also quiet for a good night's sleep.. The Car park was very handy adjoining the hotel and felt safe for a lone female.  The bar area was spacious and restful overlooking the Riverside.  The staff were attentive and smiley which me me feel welcome.  The manager  Mr Nasser was very much in evidence in the bar  area checking guests were happy which is always a good sign All in all a pleasent comfortable stay .
