    Lovely hotel.

    rating11 Jun 2026

Stayed here for two nights whilst working away from home. Hotel was pleasant, clean and well laid out with all the separate buildings. All areas spacious and modern. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. My room was in the separate house which was lovely, comfortable and clean. If you can’t manage stairs ask for a ground floor room. Tea and coffee supplied, tv, dressing gown, fan and oil heater, central heating which was on in the bathroom, nice touch, information guide very good, bathroom lotions. Bed was really comfortable. Had Dinner and Breakfast whilst there, breakfast was amazing plenty of choice if you book b&b, set menu for dinner small selection but great choice. Car parking is available but it is paid per night, £6 whilst I was there. Garden looked lovely but unfortunately it rained all the time I was there so didn’t get to use it. One thing that I had trouble with was finding the hotel, I was looking at eye level for the signage, at time of arrival it was poor viability and trying to look for the hotel and keep an eye on the busy road was difficult. The sign was up high and only saw it on my second pass. Overall a lovely stay and would recommend.

    We will be back

    rating18 May 2026

Friends of ours who live in Northampton and us, who live in Bridlington meet up somewhere between us for a get together and this time it was Norwich and a good choice of hotel from a location point of view. We stayed Tuesday until Friday with the only gripe being rooms which required steep stairs to access - not good for aged knees. It will be Room 10 for me next time.Billy and Barry were amenable and (? Diana) did marvels at breakfast. The menu could do with some changes, say on alternative nights - the light bites were quite tasty. We liked the grape vine and perhaps a history of the entire complex would be of interest. Thanks for a good stay Brian, Jacqui, Ron & Rosemary Shellie Miller, General Manager at Best Western Annesley House Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to leave a review regarding your most recent stay. I am thrilled to hear you enjoyed your time with us and thank you for your lovely comments. Sorry to hear you struggled with the stairs, our buildings are all Georgian and Grade II listed so we are unable to install lifts. For future reference, we do have a few ground floor rooms available which we are happy to allocate if requested in advance. We all look forward to welcoming you back in the future.Kind Regards,Emily MaherDuty Manager

    Great location for city centre.

    rating08 Mar 2026

We checked in on Friday and was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to their garden house, it was comfortable, clean and warm (able to adjust the temperature) it had a great big bed and lovely shower. We had breakfast in the morning, it was table service and although there was a menu, you were able to adjust and ask for different options. All staff we came into contact with were helpful. We only stayed one night but it was a great location for the city centre. We would definitely stay again. Shocked! But Not As You Might Imagine.

    rating30 Nov 2025

Stayed three nights arriving Sunday 23 November 2025. Shocked to discover we hadn't been for around 19 months as this is our go to hotel in Norwich. Noted one or two little changes. The restaurant no longer has an extensive evening menu, but we were happy with slimmed down menu. There are also huge numbers of eateries in Norwich if you choose to go out. Cannot fault the staff, the cleanliness or the breakfast. I've used this hotel, off and on, for 30 years and remain extremely happy to recommend it. Shellie Miller, General Manager at Best Western Annesley House Hotel, responded to this review Dear Mr Gillie,Thank you for taking the time to leave a review regarding your most recent stay. I am delighted to hear you both enjoyed your time with us, it was lovely to see you after all this time.I am glad to hear you embraced the changes we have made and were pleased with our new menu.I hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon.Kind Regards,Emily MaherDuty Manager
