Disappointing stay.

Not the best Holiday Inn we have stayed in, rooms are dated, there are 2 lifts but on was out of order for the 3 nights we were there, not enough car parking space and they charge £5 a day to park, breakfast items were not replenished, chairs were stained and dirty in the dining room but had been replaced on our last day, staff were ok as was the location. Disingenuous fraudulent costing of same accommodation every single night

Warning, I find this fraudulent of the Hotel. We booked a hotel for four nights. On inspection of the invoice from the 23rd of August 2026 to the 26th of August 2026 we were charged increasing amount amounts for the same accommodation night after night. The first night was £106 the second night was £114 the next night was £148 and the last night was £180 so the biggest difference in increasing every single night was the last night to the first night which was a £74 increase in cost. I've been to Hotel since the early 1980s and also used the Hotel earlier this month in Northern Ireland an excellent hotel called sleeve Donard never have a come across this changing tariff every single night increasing every single night. I find this fraudulent and disingenuous I've spoken to the manager and he stated there's nothing he can do about it and that's the process. Well since that's a situation I would not use this Hotel again and I would urge People to really Breakdown the costs and certainly don't use booking.com. The face of avarice. Better than expected

Better than expected as we'd heard the bad news about no air con. However they've put a fan in every room, it's very clean and comfortable, and the pool is lovely for a swim and hot tub! Breakfast basic, but everything you need, staff very attentive and kind. Woeful facilities and false information on Health Club Opening Times

The room was clean enough. The remote control did not work properly. BOTH shower gel and shampoo dispensers were empty. I booked this hotel specifically to use the spa facilities, and planned my evening around the opening times. The welcome leaflet stated that the spa closed at 22.00 on the day I visited, with the "wet side" facilites being closed at 21.30 for cleaning. I used the jacuzzi for 5 minutes and it did not function after that. At 20.55 I was using the sauna when the spa receptionist opened the door to "warn" me that he was shutting down the wet side facilities, but I could stay for another minute or two. I queried the timing, and was told that it needed to cool down before it closed at 21.30! I then left the spa at 21.05, and asked the duty manager why the information stated was incorrect. She did take note of my complaint, and said that she would inform the General Manager at Handover. I have since heard nothing. I am annoyed that the sauna, jacuzzi and steam room were closed 35 minutes ahead of the stated closing time. False advertising/information. Next time I will book with the Travelodge, as my recent experience with them was an improvement on this.
