    Ace Adamton Hotel ✨

My friend and I use this hotel often, on our get together catch up, girls weekends. The hotel is fab, clean and great value for money. It is a good location for the airport or the town centre. Its excellent value the rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you need, if there is anything extra you require during your stay all the staff are fabulous and friendly and help you with what you need. Shout out to the front reception team on our weekend Robert and Alastair. Great help and good banter. An Extra big deserved shout out to Lesley the Housekeeping Manager, absolute diamond, she is really nice and friendly, she went above and beyond and made our stay even better. Thank you Lesley. 🌟 And to all of you at the Adamton Hotel Prestwick 🎉 you all do a grand job. 👏 I will definitely return 💯 % From Lorraine & Theresa.

    Avoid!

The room was the only good thing about the stay. Bar and restaurant staff rude and disrespectful (especially the barman who served us on Friday 5/6/26 during dinner) Food was appalling and inedible (worse buffet style food I’ve ever eaten-think the worse school dinner ever!) and the staff also sit down and eat during service, which I find unacceptable, in my 20 years plus experience in the hospitality industry I’ve never seen this. The only plus was the shower. The hotel itself is a maze and the restaurant (which they call the garden room ) is not even attached to the hotel and you have to go outside to gain entrance. I would have never booked it myself but I was on a coach trip with Caledonian Travel, whom I suggest should seek to find a better alternative for their trips.

    Avoid like the plague

Checking in : what an absolute joke did not even get a greeting from the members of staff. all you get is what is your name and then you get handed your key for your room. Staff we're not organised at the front desk only two members of staff available one of which he was a new start and did not have a clue. Floors : walking through the corridors you should not have to see the cleaners still emptying bedrooms and leaving bed sheets and bath towels and people's personal belongings such as underwear On the floor outside the bedroom doors. This made it very difficult to walk past with suitcases and walking aids this was a trip hazard. We found it very upsetting that the members of staff did not point out there was a lift. we had to find the lift ourselves and the lift was very old and it was not clean inside it was very grubby looking. The lift was very far away from reception this meant that you had to take a long walk to get to the lift. 20 minutes after using the lift there was a sign saying that the lift had broken down. Rooms: where do we start what an absolute let down the first room that me and my husband got was on the second floor when we opened the door we were very disappointed the room it was a big letdown did not meet my needs as a disabled person. the bed was right against the wall which meant we could only get out of one side of the bed. This would have been very difficult due to me having fibromyalgia because of my pain. So we went back down to the reception and we asked if we can have another room. this is the fun part the reception staff were very aggressive they tried to say that they did not have any other rooms then one of the staff said that me and my husband could share a twin room instead. I said no I did not want a twin room I paid for a double room then he magically finds us a double room but he had to go and check on it first to see if the cleaners had finished he was taking some time and this was getting very unprofessional and I was getting very upset because I was in pain after all the travelling. He finally came back to reception and handed us the key for the room it was on the ground floor which was ok as I could do no more climbing the stairs because the left was not working. When we got to the bedroom I said to my husband this will have to do as I could not be bothered I just wanted to rest. anyway, we managed to relax but I was still not happy the bed was so uncomfortable it was like sleeping on a brick. I was doing my checks around the room I came across someone's medication in one of the side bedroom drawers. lucky enough someone from reception did come to the room so I handed him the medication. He did say that this was very unacceptable and he apologised for it. The room had mixed match furniture and the bed was like it was from the 70s. there was no pictures in the bedrooms which would have been lovely just to make the room look nice all we had to look at plain walls looking out the window all we could see was grass so not much of a view. The bathroom was new. it was a shame that the bedroom was not done up to match. The shower you might as well I've had a bath instead. the water did not drain properly so you couldn't be in the shower for long or you would have been having a flood. Dinner: was located in a separate location which we had to go outside to get to which was very difficult due to it raining the lift was still not working so everyone had to use stairs but the lift only took you down to the ground floor which meant you still had to walk outside to get to where the dinner was we had to help other guest down the stairs because the lift was not working. my husband asked members of staff if there was another lift and he did not have a clue. shocking, why work in a building if you don't know? We managed to find where dinner was served. you had to give your room number which was a pain because we had changed rooms they still had us down for our old room number so we had to tell the staff that we had moved room so we had to give our last name so that we could have something to eat. I wish we never bothered though. the food was disgusting. the chicken looked very dry and the chips weren't even cooked long enough. there were no signs on the food telling you what it was so you had to guess. you could get yourself some soup but you had to guess what the soup was as the sign only soup. There was not much on offer for vegetarians either. there was a very small salad bar which had pickled onions, peppers, coleslaw and lettuce the pudding was disgusting. they had custard. I wish I never bothered as it looked nothing like custard and the crumbles which was not appetising at all. the selection of cakes that they had were ok but you had to use tongs to pick them up which was not ideal as they were cream cakes and sticking to the tongs. it just looked like a dog's breakfast. While I was at my dinner, I was approached by one of the members of staff from reception. I can't remember his name but he came across very abruptly while we were eating our dinner. he was asking about the key for the other room. my husband told him straight that we did not have the key and that we had put the key on the reception desk he was getting very angry and then it was like he was accusing us of stealing the key for the room so when we had finished in the dining room we went back to our bedroom and checked our belongings just to satisfy him, even though I knew fine well we did hand in. I know that we didn't have it. we checked our pockets and bags and it was definitely not with us so I went along to the reception and told the man that we did not have the key and that we told him that it was left on the reception desk with our paperwork that was in the envelope. So we got up the next morning on the Sunday and we could not wait to get out of this hotel. we went for breakfast but this time we managed to find a different way of getting to the place where we had to go. we found another lift (surprise surprise, a lift that the staff did not even know existed). we went for breakfast but unfortunately, there was not much selection. there was bacon, eggs, beans, tomato's, Potato scones and peppered mushrooms - which I did not agree on because not a lot of people like pepper. there was nothing to suit vegetarians or gluten-free either. we did notice that the staff did not even ask if anyone had allergies or if anyone was gluten free. This is normally one of the first things to ask guests so safety first. Clearly not up to date when it comes to people's safety. all the staff could care about was your room number. I found out that the staff were still slagging off myself and my husband in the morning about the key going missing by other guests. this is an absolute joke. You call yourself a hotel, well shame on you. If you check your CCTV cameras, then you will see us putting the key on the reception desk. I will never return to this hotel again and I would never recommend it to anyone.
