Location

The hotel is situated amidst beautiful natural surroundings and affords wonderful views of the Firth of Clyde on the Island of Arran. The sea and nearest beach are approximately 100 metres away. The Scottish harbour town of Ayr lies around 15 km from the hotel. Glasgow Prestwick Airport is roughly 6 km from the hotel. The centre of Glasgow is a 45-minute drive away.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1894 and renovated in 2022. 89 non-smoking rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Services and facilities include a baggage storage service, 24-hour room service (for a fee), a laundry service, 4 conference rooms, a banquet hall, a page service and a smoke alarm. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service (no extra charge) to explore the surrounding area.

Rooms

Central heating ensures that rooms maintain just the right temperature. Some units offer a beautiful sea view. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds and children's beds are available upon request and for a fee. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience.     Disappoining.

    Disappointing considering the high cost of the three day stay. Notably poor choice at breakfast (only 1 cereal, two breads, one cheese and some sliced ham.) and very limited dining menu. Room was very small and overlooked the air conditioning and kitchen ventilation which was also very noisy all night,

    Spa/lunch dealMenu choice wasn’t great And when we went for our spa treatments there was a mixup with the booking. We never received our full treatments time and when we were over were told we had a var bill to pay by two different members of stffff even though over calls and previous arrangements were told it aspuld all be paid in spa area. This is certainly not up to our usual high standards and will be reviewed with the Department Heads to ensure a better experience in the future.

    Fab spa and excellent lunch

    Haven't been here for ages so we decided to treat ourselves to a spa treatment. I had the hot stones and my husband had the foot massage both of which were amazing. We also had a late light lunch the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.     Outstanding Sunday roast and service.

    Visited the Marine today for Sunday lunch. Amazing the food and service was 5 star. 100% recommends I have been to the marine a few times and it never disappoints.     Stayed a few times as we live over the water! The staff are super friendly but not too gushy!My only gripe is some of the rooms we've stayed in are looking a bit tired with peeling veneer on the bedroom furniture and we had chipped cups and saucers in the room. I booked a treatment and because of their dynamic pricing the treatment I had was £10 more than the previous day?! They should just have a blanket cost no matter what day of the week you book your treatment. The beds and pillows are really comfy for a good nights sleep!
