    perfect stay away from home, very clean in Foer area, welcoming on arrival, bedroom clean and tidy tv didn't work so they easily exchanged room for another one where the tv worked fine. breakfast included! wonderful breakfast all you can eat would absolutely recommend and the staff where so kind i think they should all be given a little bonus especially the one who served me a coffee! real nice thanks

    I am unemployed and have an important job interview in Southampton, which I have to travel internationally for at my own expense. I booked a room and received an email confirmation of the booking, then a few hours later, received another email saying that the payment did not go through and the booking was not confirmed. Because I was already under pressure and wanted to make sure I had accommodation, I booked it again, but later found out that I had been charged twice. I had tried to explain my situation to the hotel staff and I understand why they can't give me my money back, but they didn't help me by transferring it to hotel credit or providing a suitable improvement to my stay. Their offered compensation doesn't even come close to making up for the money that I lost due to the duplicate booking. Their booking system is too rigid and inflexible for any nuance and for making any corrections or compensation if something goes wrong. Booking at this hotel has made me more stressed than I already should be for this interview. That is the opposite of what hotels are supposed to do.I had enjoyed my previous stays in ibis hotels in Geneva and Zurich, but this disappointing experience had greatly harmed their reputation in my eyes. Because this came at such a crucial moment, the complete failure of their booking system and the unhelpfulness of the staff affects so much more than simply a hotel stay.

    Don't book accessible rooms

    Do not book accessible rooms as they are not suitable size rooms or facilities. They are tiny, dirty, hard beds, walls and furniture cracked. Do not book room 102. First time I booked toilet wouldn't stop flushing. Second time I booked horrendous. If you do book make sure you fill in your car reg details on their iPad or you will be fined.

    Checked in here, around 3.45 pm, in the afternoon, before leaving on a P & O Cruise Ship the following afternoon.Hotel is on an Industrial Estate, directly adjacent to Dunelm, Howdens, a huge IKEA, Wrens Kitchens, McDonalds and a TGI Friday, plus two other hotels. Ergo, don’t expect scenic views blessed with pulchritude, out of your Room’s window.Both ladies on Reception were friendly and welcoming, with Check-In flawless.Parking is £12 if staying overnight, and if you are going on a Cruise, one is about 5 minutes from the Cruise Docks. Hotel Lobby and Entrance area, is smart and modern. Bar is open the whole day, but it’s important to note that dining is held at the adjacent Novotel. I didn’t eat, so I cannot comment on the food.Room was quite decent - very clean, tidy and functional without being great. I was located at the end of a corridor which satisfied me a great deal.If you are staying the night before a Cruise, then get here as close to 3pm as possible. I was lucky. Shortly afterwards, many other Cruise passengers arrived, and numbers had increased a great deal by 6.30 pm.At this point, be ever-so clever! Surveillance time!!! Appraise….observe…..profile!!! 😜👍You’ll start to work out who to potentially avoid….or socialise with when on your cruise, and I witnessed a great deal! I remained in the bar, long enough, to satisfy ‘profiling’ to an upper-echelon forensic degree before heading to my bedroom at 10pm to watch a plethora of Family Guy and American Dad episodes.     Sadly we were booked for the Novatel but by mistake I had booked Sunday night not Saturday. The novatel wanted a ridiculous price for the night so we were forced to book the ibis. It was awful two small hard single beds not with a proper mattress. A tatty bathroom with a shower curtain over the bath. The bath tap was coroded and need updating. Very small room awful windows no heating deco in need of updating and lined poor quality. It was one of the worse hotels we have aver stayed in. Would never stay again. We were staying one night so as to get to my fathers 90th Birthday surprise party in plenty of time hoping for a relaxing evening in a nice hotel which this was not.
