  Nice weekend away

  Couples weekend away been to the hotel previously for conferences but it is becoming tired and it need of a refurb. Food in the restaurant was good.

  Old hotel but front of house staff were nice what really lets it down is the restaurant food and staff. Expect long waits even when restaurant is quiet. We waited 45 minutes for dinner when no one else was there and food was over priced for portion size. Breakfast buffet was missing many items and all were cold, waited 30 minutes for sausages but when they arrived, there were raw. The spa was very nice however the restaurant experience was enough for us never to return.

  Room needed a update,Windows with mold.Bathroom old and tired.Breakfast was buffet and mostly lukewarm at best.Bar area is nice.Spa area is bit like the hotel,Needing a update.. Furniture well passed it's best.Location good

  Breakfast.Good parts, lots of it , great selection, coffee good,Bad parts. Cold plates, dirty plates, food only luke warm, cold by the time you've finished.The breakfast would have been good if it was hot, so not the best and not worth £12. Rooms ok but place is looking a bit tired

  Decent hotel decent stay. Was here for a wedding Fri night stayed two nights to make a weekend of it . Room was tired and does need refurbished but I’ve stayed in a lot worse for the price is was fine . I would say the staff are doing their best . There was not enough bar staff on the bar at the wedding the bar could have made a lot more if the queue wasn’t as long . To tables were cleared of glasses at night I cleared the table three times of empty glasses . Breakfast on sat was fine Sunday was a disaster went down at 9.15 got a juice the headed for hot food literally there were three dishes with food in out of about 8 dishes the rest were empty long story after speaking to a few staff I sat down to my breakfast at 10 am . Breakfast finishes at 10am and the hit plate was cleared about 10.10 so no chance of seconds . Really disappointed with breakie on Sunday perhaps a booking system should be put in place to help the kitchen . Overall a great wedding and nice stay but improvements to be made . Rooms need a deep clean
