  Great stay as alway. Staff fantastic (Ruby,Libby,Shevonne,Jamie and Jacob)!.Stayed here numerous times and will definitely be back as it’s convenient place for me to go.????

  Dated Hotel with Poor Experience

  The hotel was very 'tired' in appearance.It was evident that in its prime it would have been very popular and a place to stay and eat.Unfortunately lack of investment has left the communal areas dated, toilet facilities patched up rather than replacing sink surrounds, extremely noisy taps for cold water in rooms and an overall dated look.We stayed two nights and each morning there were a number of wasps ( dead and alive) on the carpet from the corridors leading from the accommodation into the reception area. Probably from nests under the corridors that were elevated on pilings.The evening meal was extremely poor. The fish and chips comprised of a fish that was not freshly battered but bought frozen with batter on and then fried. ...maybe from Iceland. The quality of the fish was also poor. When this was mentioned to staff they apologised and charged us full price!The breakfast was average with bacon undercooked and other containers with cooked food running out of items repeatedly. Surprised to see yogurts stood with no ice underneath and hot water for tea from a flask that was not hot enough for tea.Overall...if you want a dated break with poor food and fittings then this is a must for you!Otherwise...book elsewhere.

  I’ve stayed at this hotel once before & had another lovely nights stay last weekend. Room was lovely & everyone at the hotel were friendly. We had an evening meal in the restaurant- slow service but the server was very polite & helpful. My daughter was getting frustrated with the few flies in the restaurant though.   Rooms need done tlc lights not working in bathroom and by bed, water takes ages to heat and shower trickles out. Unfortunately not great rooms as out of date and in need of paint and love Breakfast had not a lot of choice and broken toaster and hour from end of breakfast no pastries or bread left, was overall a poor stay which is such a shame as could be fantastic.   We stayed overnight for a wedding last week.... the wedding itself was excellent so no complaints about that.Ironically the last time.we stayed here was another wedding 20 years ago.... unfortunately nothing seems to have changed in that time in the hotel. The furniture was tired, the shower was hardly worth the hassle getting the temperature right, I dropped.my watch on the floor in the morning and when I went to pick it up I noticed and empty packet of crisps and a half a bottle of juice on the floor under the desk. On the plus side the staff are friendly the bed was comfortable and the drinks were reasonably priced.
