  Was slightly worried about going as read the reviews after booking. We were so glad we went. The hotel was in a lovely location with lovely views of the lake. We had a lovely lake facing room that was clean, spacious and quiet. Our breakfast buffet was very good. We also had a lovely meal in the restaurant one evening. The staff we encountered were all very pleasant. Especially Naz who was very friendly and helpful at breakfast and our evening meal. Not forgetting Fred on reception. Who was also very friendly and chatty We were always greeted by him with a lovely smile. What a great guy for front of house.

  Fabulous hotel with great views in a perfect location. Staff were brilliant- friendly and very helpful. Great choice for breakfast and bar, pool and hot tub on site a nice place to relax. Room clean and tidy and loved the “green” initiatives. The only downside was the interconnecting room which meant that you could hear next door loud and clear. Not great for a light sleeper.   Dissapointed at the quality for the price paid

  The entrance to the hotel was clean and modern. We arrived 30 mins early and asked if we could check in We were told no and to wait in the bar, which is fair enough but other hotels usually don't mind.After checking in we went to our room which was not up to the expected standard. We were staying in a Biskey Lake view room which is one of the more expensive rooms. Considering we had to put £50 on hold on a card in case of damage we were surprised when the paint near the light switch was peeling, the carpet had stains and was frayed and the bathroom floor also had stains. When paying for a better standard of room I would expect this to be reflected. The breakfast in the morning was average at best. Again for the price I would have expected freshly cooked breakfast not items being left under heat lamps which looked like they had been out a while. For my husband who is dairy and egg intolerant there was minimal options. There wasn't even sunflower spread for toast. Overall for the price we paid the quality was severly lacking. We would not come back for this price with the same standards. I did also pass your comments to our maintenance and housekeeping teams. Our Biskey Lake View rooms are among the prime top notch rooms that are liked by everyone who stays in them. We appreciate your comments and we have taken on board your feedback as they will help us improve. On arrival, had you found the room not to be clean with paint peeling off, this would have been reported to the reception so that the duty manager gets involved to find you a suitable and satisfying solution. I read through the 3 reports ; one from evening when you checked in - late receptionist, another from the night shift - for any issues reported from your room and the third report early reception shift when you checked out. There were no reports that you contacted the reception to highlight any issues. As mentioned a resolution could have been found. Our aim is to ensure all guests including yourself are well looked after and well served. Our breakfast has continued to be very popular as we offer a wide range of items. The food is always well prepared, temperature checked and probed and served to the level required. Our staff were always available to speak to you in case you wanted something else outside the menu which our chef would have been happy to cook for you. We take allergies very seriously hence the reason we have a list in the breakfast room for people to be aware of. Besides that we also have our staff available to talk to. There is a section in the kitchen that prepares dishes for guests who are allergic to certain food items to avoid contamination. Sunflower spread was available when you visited the breakfast room. Had you asked a member of the staff, this would have been served to you at your table, saving you going back to the buffet counter.Once again, thank you for your detailed feed back and we do hope you reconsider staying with us in the near future.Kind Regards.
