Bad experience

This hotel is a bad experience. It's dingy and noisy (on a busy street). Shared bathrooms mean lots of banging and other noises throughout the night. Staff seem in a hurry to get customers taken care of. Room was small and hot (no ventilation) and bed was uncomfortable. Only positive: It was priced well below the other (exorbitantly priced) hotels in Anchorage.

A wonderful little cute place to stay

This is my go to place friendly staff, great service and there's always somebody there 24/7 to help you with anything you need. These guys are my second family when I come to Anchorage. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. There's always enough parking and it's conveniently located for everything I need. Absolutely love everybody that works there.

Not for the light sleeper

The best part of this stay is the staff. John was great. The location is fine. The hotel? Well, don't believe the photo they post. The motel is on a busy street, the traffic is LOUD especially for street-facing rooms as mine was. There are lots and lots of insecure BillyBobs in their huge trucks with BLATBLATBLAT sounds like Harleys screeching by at all hours. It was hard to sleep. The comforter is extremely cheap, old and lumpy. Clean, that's not the issue. The room is very hot, so the fan is on full time but at night. It was late September so it cooled off, but if you are there in summer you'll suffer. There are plenty of bathrooms, so you can stay clean and relieved. The furniture in my room was badly battered and ancient, drawers missing pull knobs and the like. It's the cheapest thing around, they provide coffee, tea and a kitchen downstairs like a hostel or boarding room, but if quiet is important to you, this isn't your place. DO NOT STAY!!! If I could give this a zero I would. This is clearly a transient hotel. We did not even check in after viewing the room. It was disgusting. The photos online do not give an accurate representation of the “hotel” if you can call it that. This was our FAVORITE hotel of our 15 day Alaskan excursion. The room was nice, quiet atmosphere and very friendly people. LOVED the stay and will be coming back. The decorations and eclectic atmosphere of the hotel was the BEST!!!
