Location

Situated on the shores of scenic Lake Spenard, 6 km from the centre of Anchorage, the hotel is the perfect starting point from which to explore the many wonders Alaska has to offer. There are plenty of outdoor activities within a short drive of the hotel. For shopping, the Anchorage 5th Avenue Mall is about a 20-minute drive away. The Alaska Aviation Museum is about 5 min by car from the hotel, and the H2Oasis Indoor Water Park is around a 30-minute drive away. The hotel is 1.5 km from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 248 non-smoking rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities.     I cannot think of a worse hotel to stay at. The shower button wouldn’t move and had to use the drain plug to wedge it so the shower would work. No creamer or sugar with the coffee for the morning. The refrigerator wasn’t plugged in. We only were given one towel the two of us. We requested additional towels, and they never came. Other than that, it was wonderful! Obviously, after three nights here would never stay here again.     Dated, but nice!

    Decent hotel near the airport! It’s a little dated, but the room was nice and the bathroom was fine. It’s nothing fancy, but we had a good experience. The room was clean and we didn’t have any issues with noise. Desk staff was nice and even let us add another night to our stay due to us accidentally booking a night short! There is a restaurant in the lobby area, but breakfast is not included. The breakfast buffet was a little on the pricey side for the quality of it. If you want a better deal, drive over to McDonald’s or IHOP nearby. The hotel is close to some good restaurants in town for lunch/dinner as well. Overall, I would recommend a stay here (especially if you’re in town for a short stay!)     Staff was excellent . Shuttle drivers were over the top helpful. Location is beautiful but property could use a refresh. Rooms are dingy and old . Restaurant didn’t have enough staff and truthfully was pretty dirty . We ended up leaving and just not having dinner .     Clean, basic hotel within 5 minutes of the airport with a shuttle that runs every half hour. Every staff member was helpful and enthusiastic. My sister accidently left her debit card at the hotel and didn't realize it for days when we were 5 hours from Anchorage. The hotel kept the card in their safe. Upon our return to the Anchorage Airport the shuttle whisked my sister to the hotel and waited while she retrieved her card so we wouldn't miss our flight.
