  Stayed in Atlanta and now staying in Hilton Head South Carolina. Excellent customer service and amenities.   Would Recommend for 1 or 2 nights.

  The hotel is showing some wear.However, it was clean from what I could tell and the staff are very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was slow.They were not putting out food fast enough for the amount of guests that were coming down for breakfast and using the microwave.But the guests were trying to use as well.At the same time. The elevator was not working, so we managed to get a room on the first floor however, when we left, they were working on the elevator trying to get it operational. We were also not aware that there was a seventy five dollar deposit.Hold on our card for any incidentals.After we left, I did speak with the desk manager.When we left and he said they would check the room right away.If there was nothing wrong, they would release the hold, and that's exactly what they did. We appreciate so much, you having stayed with us. It is a hotel policy to collect a 75 smoking deposit upon check in. THE PURPOSE for that is to discourage people from smoking in our NON SMOKING hotel. As you said, upon check out, it is refunded back to your card.   Hit all the main points: Good internet service. Good shower. Good pillows. Good bed.Eggs & bacon plus other stuff at breakfast. Fresh finishes, everything in good repair. Friendly staff, especially the breakfast lady.Only drawback was no freezer compartment in mini fridge, but the staff put my coldpacks in their freezer to refreeze.   The smells!!

  While the room itself was clean and fairly comfortable, one major downside was the persistent smell of cigarette smoke. Despite being in a non-smoking area, the odor was noticeable and unpleasant. Additionally, there were odd smells throughout some of the common areas, which made it hard to fully enjoy the amenities. It would be helpful if the property addressed ventilation and odor control, as it definitely impacted the overall experience. This really concerns us. Please know that we have looked your room up and are giving it a heads to toe inspection. We do our best to warn our guests upon check in that we do not allow smoking and that there is a hefty fee if one does. So it really concerns us that you encountered a persistent smell of smoke.   We Paid for this???

  I was expecting a stellar stay after seeing so many good reviews, but ultimately this location was a letdown. For the price of our room, we didn’t get what we paid for.The saving grace of the hotel was the comfort and cleanliness of the bedroom area of the room but its bathroom was terrible. The tub appeared to be an older jacuzzi tub that someone tried to patch up. There was plaster thrown over the spray holes leaving rough, dirty jagged edges. The shower walls had filthy grout between the tiles. The showerhead was clogged with white mineral deposits. The water pipes were loud and whiney. As if the management didn’t care , there was a cheap wire hanging basket for the soap. The sink had rust in it. I get it. It’s an older hotel. But the whole vibe of the bathroom was that it was in some cheap, sleazy motel. Not what I expected from Best Western. To cap it off, when I reached for the shampoo bottle it was nearly empty. Apparently it was used and no one bothered to change it. Our breakfast was average. There was no attendant and the milk pitcher was empty. The food choices were cold and lacking. Normally I might give an average rating for a stay like this, but the bathroom conditions and the price we paid to stay here didn’t mesh. I guess the old saying is true - if you have no expectations, you will be less disappointed.
