  Once again, Best Western proved to be the ultimate choice for vacation. Clean room, great beds, super customer service; and a plethora of other positive experiences that I don’t have space to list.   The good, the bad and the ugly….

  I’m a Best Western rewards member, so I look at BW properties first. After staying here, I’m actually SURPRISED that Best Western would affiliate with this property. Check in was quick and easy. Check in area was clean, updated and the lady at the counter was pleasant. While walking up to our room, which was on the first floor, we started to notice the age of the building. Usually, age is not a problem. It could be refreshed a bit. I think I asked my husband 3 times before we got to our room if he was ok staying there. He was good. Then we noticed the people loitering. I don’t know if they live there???? But there were groups of 2-4 people sitting outside their rooms (they had moved their room chairs outside). But, it’s late summer, I’m a smoker…so I get why they would be outside. Then the smell of pot/weed hit us. Then the music started. And the loud voices and the beer burps. They were sitting on the steps next to our room. When I wanted to go out to smoke, my husband asked me to stay in front of the window where he could see me. And to not lock the door while I was outside in case I needed to get back in quickly. Constant stream of foot traffic throughout the parking area. I don’t think they were guests of the property…but I could be wrong. The property is right next door to a liquor store so may be those people where customer of that business??The noise kept me up most of the night. The music. The talking, the doors slamming. The sirens. Ugh. I did NOT feel safe here and I’m glad both the husband and I had our pistols. As far as the room itself….it was clean. We had no issues with the TV or fridge. The bathroom door didn’t like to latch securely, the bathroom floor could use a good scrubbing. I had to leave the hot water running for about 10mins before it started to get warm. I would not stay there again nor would I recommend this property.   Roaches everywhere outside of rooms due to trash cans in the walkways overflowing with garbage. No one onsite to handle the trash until 6am. Was not offered another room. There’s trash cans in each room why even have trash bins directly outside of guest rooms for anyone to walk up to throw their garbage in?
