    It was clean, bathroom door would not lock, window facing dumpster. We thought it was thunder but it was workers throwing stuff in it. Other than that, it was ok.

    Dirty, Unsafe Room and Unresponsive Staff

    We were very dissatisfied with the cleanliness and safety of our room, as well as the responsiveness of the staff. We checked in to our room late in the evening and dropped off our bags so that we could get some food before stores in the area closed. We arrived back to the hotel about 45 minutes later. As we began to settle in to our room, we noticed several issues, including (1) tears in the bed spread and sheets, (2) scuff marks on the pillow cases, (3) holes in the curtains, (4) stains and scuff marks on the furniture, (5) dust on the furniture, (6) broken furniture (e.g., TV stand doors would not shut fully), (7) human hair stuck to the bathroom walls and ceiling, (8) small bugs in the refrigerator and bath tub, and (9) a cockroach in the bedroom. We also noticed that the door to our room was loose, and would not shut fully unless both the deadbolt and latch were used.Given these issues, we were no longer comfortable staying at this hotel. After taking some time to find an alternative place to stay and packing our belongings, we raised our concerns with the receptionist (about 30 minutes after we got back to our room). He did not apologize for any of the issues that we experienced, and was relatively unresponsive to our concerns. For example, he did not respond to us unless explicitly prompted (e.g., until we asked him a question or made a request to complete a specific task, such as process a refund). He offered to either (1) find us another room (which we were not comfortable with given the extent of concerns with our first room) or (2) refund us for our second night (but not our first, as it has been over an hour since we checked in). He also told us that if we wanted to discuss the possibility of a full refund that we would need to return the following morning anytime after 8:00am to speak with a manager. When we asked if we could receive confirmation of the refund, he said "No." When we raised concerns about the lack of confirmation, he stared at us and then shrugged.The following morning we returned to the hotel to speak with a manager. Although we were previously told that a manager would be present, the current receptionist said that the manager was not working that day. Fortunately, this receptionist was very sympathetic to our concerns. She apologized for the state of the room, and offered to call her manager to discuss the possibility of a full refund. After speaking with her manager, she explained that they could do a partial refund (50%) for the first night, and full refund for the second. We were satisfied with this resolution, and agreed to move forward. She printed us copies of the refund, and clearly labeled and explained how they appeared on the receipt. She also explained that the refund might not appear on our account for a couple days.Overall, the extent of the issues that we experienced, we will not be staying at this hotel in the future, and would NOT recommend it to others. This is the worst hotel where I have ever stayed.

    The room was not clean properly because other people's items were left in the room, the TV in the room did not work, the housekeeping man walked in my room at 10:00 a.m. while I was undressed without even knocking. According to him he said he thought I checked out. Management Tucker, General Manager at Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tucker/Northlake, responded to this review Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. Please know that we take guest privacy very seriously.After reviewing the incident with our maintenance staff, we were informed that standard procedure was followed, including knocking twice before attempting to enter. At the time, our team believed the room was unoccupied. We are more than willing to discuss this further as needed as we truly value our guests' time, privacy, and personal satisfaction. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.

    Very comfortable, not noisy, felt safe, staff helpful especially Marvin definitely would return and suggest to others All amenities in place and functional property well kept, suite clean,bed co-mfortable.Near shopping,different levels of restaurants ,and banks. Check in and out easy.
