Extremely disappointing Stay Serious cleanliness and service

    rating23 Apr 2026

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree in the Peachtree-Dunwoody area of Atlanta for what was supposed to be a peaceful “reset weekend.” Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite due to major cleanliness and service failures. When I returned to my room late Friday night (around 1 a.m.) and pulled back the sheets, I discovered fresh blood stains in the bed. Since it was the middle of the night, I moved to the second bed and planned to report it first thing in the morning. At 7:30 a.m. Saturday, I contacted the front desk and was told housekeeping would come right away so I could still enjoy my day. That did not happen. Housekeeping didn’t arrive until 1 p.m., which cost me half my day and completely disrupted the relaxing weekend I had planned. While waiting, I checked the second bed (the one I slept in) more closely and discovered what appeared to be old blood or other biological stains. At that point, it was clear the room had not been properly cleaned at all prior to my arrival. At checkout, I reported everything to the manager on duty, who acknowledged the issue and offered 10,000 Hilton Honors points. However, only 4,000 points were actually added to my account. After completing a survey, I was later offered 25,000 points—only for that offer to be rescinded and replaced with a partial refund. The inconsistency, lack of urgency, and overall handling of this situation were extremely disappointing—especially as a Hilton Honors member since 2018 who has stayed at many DoubleTree properties without issue. This was not a minor inconvenience. This was a serious cleanliness concern that disrupted my stay and undermined my trust in this location.I hope management takes this review seriously and implements better housekeeping quality control and more responsive guest service going forward.I cannot recommend this location based on my experience.

A little tired and needing some love.

    rating13 Nov 2025

Good location, friendly staff. Property seems dated or at least not well kept. Cracks in the shower floor, a big chunk of carpet missing that they replaced, but it’s a pattern carpet so doesn’t match. Noise from the freeway. Bo Hagood, General Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody, responded to this review Thank you for the feedback and we apologize that you did not enjoy the stay. I will share your feedback with the maintenance team so they can ensure they are checking for this in the rooms. Again, we appreciate the feedback as we work to improve the hotel.

THE WORST HOTEL WE HAVE EVER STAYED!! 1ST PLACE PERIOD!

    rating14 Sept 2025

arrived at the hotel around 2:30PM Saturday on a sunny 89-degree day... bar was closed so we hit the gas station right at the Hotel to grab some drinks to take and sit by the pool area not trying to "SWIM" we are 50yr old Adults not kids!... we get back to the pool area and they have it closed, we ask why? they say it's just closed and that "engineers" closed it? really? it takes an "engineer" to turn a deadbolt? all the while there was a towel on a table, a lifejacket in a chair, one umbrella 3/4 open and 2-3 umbrellas all the way open with all cushions still on the outdoor furniture, not what i would call "closed for the season" maybe in a LAZY F's mindset? called a Sister DOUBLE TREE Hotel and they had their pool area OPEN for guests to use! the difference between the two are that this hotel is Privately owned and allowed to use the Hilton Double Tree name by keep the lobby area to Hilton Standards which allows them to be slack and Lazy in affording their customers access to certain amenities just because 'they feel like it' don't be FOOLED!!! if you book through Hotwire get the insurance and if you are given this Hotel immediately cancel your reservations! again, THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL HILTON DOUBLE TREE FACILITY!!! IT IS A COMPLETE JOKE OF AN OPERATION! Bo Hagood, General Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody, responded to this review Thank you for sharing feedback on your recent stay and I apologize for the negative experience. I will share the feedback with my team and we will make improvements.

Five star staff, zero star facilities

    rating15 Aug 2025

Wow, I struggle to recall a more disappointing hotel experience in decades and thousands of nights as a business traveler. First, we’ll start with the good. The staff at this property deserve five stars. They are all terrific, kind, and deliver amazing service to guests and they made us feel welcome. However, ownership—and the building itself—are letting down these awesome staff with subpar facilities and maintenance that are far below Hilton standards. This hotel used to be a Holiday Inn until about 12-15 years ago from what I can tell and it’s a tired, ugly 1970s brown brick building with low ceilings and decades-old mechanical systems. You can only put so many coats of paint over popcorn ceilings.I’ve never checked into a hotel and rejected a room at checkin due to the condition of the room but here I did it twice. The first room they put me in had ripped curtains, a headboard that was totally destroyed and overall grunge…and the second room was even worse. Third room wasn’t necessarily the charm but better than the first two—but still smelly, worn out, not very clean feeling and generally in need of renovation. What a disappointing old disaster of a hotel. I have to applaud the Sales Manager for her AMAZING professional handling of the room issues—seriously, she should write a book on customer service and handling service irregularities. What a pro. She should take her terrific skills to a better property and spread her wings. The air conditioning went out throughout parts of the building on the 4th night of our stay and apparently the technician called in sick that day and was the only guy with the keys and skill to reset it. Finally 6 or 7 hours later they managed to get someone over to get it fired up again. Seriously? Why is there an empty police car illegally parked outside for days on end? Is crime that bad here? Overall, I’m shocked that a property that’s so old, so tired and so run down still flies a Hilton flag. We finally left and went across the street to a beautiful brand new Marriott. Bo Hagood, General Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody, responded to this review Thank you for the feedback and I apologize for the negative experience. I will share the feedback with my team so we can address your concerns as best as we can.

    Overall nice

    rating11 Apr 2025

Nice hotel. Clean. Thin walls. Neighbor woke me while he was having a phone conversation. Courteous staff. Thomas checked me in. Parking is free but scarce. The back lot is very dark and sort of hidden. I was afraid to park there as it looked abandoned and unsafe. There is nothing within walking distance but a gas station. Warm cookie (w/ nuts) & water at reception. Room has refrigerator. Bo Hagood, General Manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody, responded to this review Thank you for the positive feedback and we are glad that you mostly enjoyed your stay. I will make sure all lighting in the rear parking lot is properly working.
