    Here we are, 3 am and they are breaking in our cars, nothing we can do. No employees in site. This is the hood.

    Disappointing Stay for a Lifetime Diamond Member 🥹

    As a Lifetime Hilton Diamond member, I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties over the years, but this DoubleTree near ATL was a significant disappointment.Several things promised at check-in were not delivered. I confirmed my room selection in advance and was told bottled water would be waiting in the room, but neither happened.The hotel itself appears quite worn and in need of renovation. Torn carpeting in hallways, stained and scratched walls and ceilings, and tired furniture made the property feel neglected. Cleanliness was also an issue — there was hair in the shower and I even discovered a piece of jewelry on the bathroom floor while walking barefoot.There were also basic details that seemed overlooked. The clock in the room was set an hour and a half wrong, and the trash cans in the lobby near the coffee station were overflowing, which did not create a welcoming environment.Service unfortunately matched the condition of the property. Staff seemed overwhelmed, dismissive, and at times rude. Phone calls to the front desk resulted in multiple holds of more than 10 minutes, which was frustrating when assistance was needed.The one bright spot: the pillows were excellent — genuinely some of the most comfortable hotel pillows I’ve experienced.Sadly, the night ended with a 6 AM wake-up courtesy of a neighboring guest yelling on the phone, so restful sleep didn’t last long.Given the condition of the facility and the lack of attentive service, I cannot recommend this property in its current state.

    I book a reservation for my parents, called to confirm, add preferences, and update the credit card. I was put on hold for almost 45mins then when I finally got an agent as soon as I stated I wanted to add preferences to a reservation I was immediately transferred to central reservations. I spoke with Matthew who I thought was helpful but evidently did not relay any pre arrival info. My parents were very disappointed that when the arrived their reservation was canceled. I understand that business can get business but there is no excuse for the unprofessional, unpleasant treatment. I know this does not reflect Hiltons culture. If you can't be professional under pressure this is not the right job for you. All guest are important no matter if on the phone or in front of you. If you are too busy take a number and call the guest back. Check, notes, preferences, traces etc
