    Disappointing Experience and Poor Customer Service

    My stay left a bad impression. The biggest issue was how the front desk handled a very small balance on my account. A staff member came to my room, handed me a paper, and told me I had a balance that needed to be settled before checkout. I said okay. About two hours later, I received a call telling me I needed to come to the front desk immediately to settle the account.When I got downstairs, I was told they tried to charge my card and it did not go through, so I provided another card. After all of that, I found out the balance was only about $2. The manager on duty then said there was no card on file, which made no sense because I would not have been able to check in without one. I also had two rooms, so there should have been more than enough authorization already held.That interaction changed my whole view of the stay. It felt unnecessary, unprofessional, and poorly handled.The property itself also needs attention. The hallway had visible water marks, the AC unit was loud, and the bathroom felt outdated. At night, the access setup was also concerning because it felt like there was only one clear way in and out, while other doors did not seem properly secured.Service was inconsistent as well. When food was brought out, there were no napkins or plasticware provided. Overall, the staff did not come across as professional or polished.For a 3-star hotel, I was not expecting luxury, but I did expect basic professionalism, better communication, and a property that felt better maintained.     Excellent staff, but…

    Unfortunately old and outdated. Not what I was expecting. Originally two days booked, i checked out after one night. Staff was lovely and vibrant, cookies were good.
