    Don't trust Hilton to hold your room

    Booked a room for halfway trip to florida back in November 2025 for spring break trip March 2026. Got to hotel at midnight tired as hell and bellhop said someone gave my room away. Told me they didn't have any rooms but that they booked me a room down the street at another Hilton related hotel. Drove to that hotel they had never heard of us and there was no booking. Went back to Hilton Garden And they said they had no rooms. After we complained they said they would try to get us one. They made us sit for 2 hours until 3:00 a.m. while they put a room together only to come out and say someone was in the room. Not getting to bed at 3:00 a.m. after driving all day and booking the room way ahead of time isn't acceptable. Called about 10 hotels from Cartersville to macon and all said fully booked due to cherry blossom festival. Ended up getting coffee and driving all night. Thanks for ruining this part of my trip Hilton. The staff member who gave our reservation done way ahead of time and paid for away should be reprimanded. I don't even care if it's free I'm not staying at a Hilton again and this review is going to be copied everywhere I can possibly put it. I have a large social media following and it'll be on there asap. Unacceptable and horrible service.Didn't even give us points, a free stay or anything to make things right. Didn't even help cancel the reservation they gave away. I had to call after the fact and do it myself.     Disappointing Stay: Poor Cleaning & Safety Issues

    The room was recently renovated, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations for cleanliness. We found food crumbs on the floor next to the bed, and there was hair all over the shower. There was also a huge stain on the wall. In addition, the AC unit was missing the bottom cover, leaving wires exposed, which felt unsafe and unappealing.     We recently stayed here for a couple nights while visiting family in the area. This property, and, in fact, the whole town of Cartersville, was a very pleasant surprise! The Hilton Garden Inn is located conveniently near shopping, restaurants, and activities. Lots of options! The hotel itelf appears freshly remodeled. It was clean, fresh and welcoming. Front desk staff very friendly. Check in was a breeze (I checked in on the app, but always prefer to get physical room keys). Room was clean, spacious, and had nice touches like plenty of lamps, charging portals, surface space. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Pillows a little "limp" but I'm a brat and always bring my own! Breakfast, which wasn't free but that's OK - was pretty good, and came quickly. It's not the best breakfast I ever had, but the service was great, the food was freshly prepared, and you can't beat the convenience. My one complaint - and it's almost a deal breaker - is that darn motion sensing thermostat. We woke both nights, multiple times, burning up - even drenched in sweat! The a/c would only come back on if you got up and moved around the room, and even then, it didn't stay on very long. This is not acceptable. I didn't think to call the front desk to see if that could be adjusted by them. I will be returning to Cartersville frequently in the future, due to several family members living within 30 minutes of the area - but i won't stay here again unless I can get some confirmation that there's a solution to that thermostat issue. I'm far too old and cranky to sleep "hot"!

    June 2025 Alert: Pool is GONE, No Fitness Room!

    I love Hilton, but this stay has been rough. Pool has been filled in with concrete, fitness center is closed and under construction, and front lobby is covered in plastic while renovating. We are here for a baseball tournament for 6 nights and we were really looking forward to the pool and fitness spaces for the players and families, especially in the June heat. Staff has been lovely, the rooms are newly renovated, and it’s a great location near shopping and dining. Online photos of the hotel and amenities have not all been updated across platforms and reservation sites to reflect the changes. Don’t be fooled!
