I recently stayed at the hotel Indigo midtown for work. The hotel is conveniently located downtown, and calling an uber/lift was a breeze. Throughout my stay, Don at the front desk was extremely accommodating and able to help whenever I had a question. Disorganized.

Their water pump went out leaving us withno water for hours and they had absolutely no urgency to fix that. The beds were dirty and we were given a shower for handicap (we all have no disability). The outside environment was also not safe and they took way too long to let us inside considering that. Soci Assist, Other at Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown by IHG, responded to this review Hi 992laineya,We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. Your feedback regarding the water issue, room conditions, and safety concerns is important to us, and we will address these matters with our team to improve our services. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.- The Staff at Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown

Affordable and charming option in Midtown

    rating24 Apr 2026

I ended up staying here because I was in Atlanta for a conference and this was just about the only hotel that was walkable to the conference center but had prices in the range that would be approved by my employer. My room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I had a good stay. As for specifics...The bathroom was super tiny. Like, not even enough room on the floor to spread out the bathmat towel. If you're a larger person, the shower might not be big enough to be comfortable. When the bathroom door is open, you cannot open the room door without slamming into it. Space in the room was very economically used. I've seen hotel rooms like this in cities like New York and Chicago, where everything is compact, but was surprised to find it in a sprawling city like Atlanta. All this being said, the space was well used (with plenty of shelves and hooks). The water was hot and the water pressure was good.I liked that the room had a comfortable chair to sit in. Next to one of the nightstands it could make a nice laptop station that was actually somewhat ergonomically correct (as opposed to hotel desks, which never are). There's also a little counter near the door with the coffee station - this was a nice spot to work standing up with a laptop, to eat (so I'm not bringing my take-out farther into the room), and to stage my bag to take with me for the next day. The room had a fridge but no microwave. The floor was hard (laminate) with a circular rug - decent amount of floor space to open a suitcase. The room might have been tight for two people, but for one person it was a nice size. The air conditioner is one of the wall/window units with the compresser right in the unit. It was loud but it worked efficiently. Would have preferred central air. There's also a good amount of street noise (including sirens since there is a hospital right across the street) - but this is probably true of any hotel in the area, except maybe the super tall skyscraper ones where you can get a room on a high floor. The sheets were clean but smelled strongly of bleach. Large comfortable bed and super comfy fluffy feather pillows. Had some of my better night's sleeps that I've had in hotel rooms here. The hotel does have room service but the restaurant menu is rather limited. I did get breakfast down there a couple of mornings and the staff was nice and accommodating of special requests. The food was also good - expensive but good sized portions and good quality. The restaurant has a theater theme since there is a historic theater right across the street. Nice atmosphere and fun theater memorabilia on the walls; wish I would have liked something on the menu enough to try dinner there, but there are tons of excellent restaurant within walking distance.
