    We always stay at Red Roof Inns because of the price and quality. We stayed at this location on Cherokee St on July 12 in room 111. The pictures on the web for this location are misleading. If you want a quiet, good night sleep this is not the place. People hanging out in front making all kinds of noise. The light is so bright in the parking lot that the curtains don’t block it. As you can see from the photos the bed and linens are not the norm for this chain. It was a waste of $125 and unfortunately non refundable because we booked it at the last minute through another site.     The doors to the bathroom would not close. If you could get them to close, you had to kick them open because they would stick. To top it off, the room had roaches. So disgusting.     Filthy dirty.

    Traveling cross country on vacation with our 4 kids and decided to stop last minute to sleep. We rented 2 rooms. Checked in and checked out immediately due to exceptionally dirty rooms and a general unsafe feeling. Both rooms were deplorable. When we went into our rooms we found furniture destroyed, beds unkempt with dirty linens, cigarette ashes all over the floor, dog poop outside the door, people loitering outside our hotel room door, old shopping carts parked at the bottom of stairs and Hairs in the sink. Also looked as though the bathroom door had been repaired multiple times. Went down and immediately asked for a refund stating the condition we found our rooms. He didn’t offer any apology or solution to right the situation, he only said I would have to contact the company I used to book the room. I tried calling. They called the hotel and were told by the hotel staff that a refund would have to get approved by the manager. We left anyways. We did not receive a refund. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had.     The owner his owners son (Anaut and Paul) were Exceptional hosts. I could tell that they take pride in their property and that they care about the guest's experiences while staying here. This is probably the BEST Red Roof I have ever stay in, and I travel a lot! My room was large and exceptionally clean. The TV was large and the bed was soft. Also I appreciated the size of the refrigerator and that it had a little freezer section for my ice packs.Also there is a Waffle House in the same parking lot. BONUS! I have zero complaints. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!     The night check in is like being booked into jail. Lobby is off limits and you pass items back and forth through a slot in thick glass in a cubicle beside it. What really mad me mad was the only way to make a CC payment with this setup was to give my card pin to the attendant. Totally unacceptable. Beyond this the place is filthy inside and out. The room was used hard too threadbare furniture, rusted bathtub....it just doesnt gey much worse than this place. Awful.
