  Just enough.

  Good location with good parking. The breakfast was classic Hampton Inn and there was no line for the waffle maker. The room was what I expected and clean. But something left me feeling so so about the place. I’d call my stay here “just”.Just confusing enough to find but not impossible. The luggage carts steered just enough but you needed to use both hands to keep it going straight. The elevator was working just enough to get you to your floor but not enough for you to feel you were guaranteed to get there. (The floor buttons didn’t light up after you pressed them to confirm you were heading to the right level and the bell that should ding at each floor sounded sick. ) The air worked just enough to keep you cool (After we switched our original room where the air wasn’t working at all.) There were just enough linens for the two of us. The breakfast sitting area was just big enough but not Texas big.There were signs posted about renovations so I do think they know the place is looking tired.

  Terrible location due to construction and hidden signage

  You have to be looking hard to find it, there is no elevated sign to spot and you can not see it until you have just about missed your exit. We would have had a wreck if I had braked in time to get there. The construction has exits closed for what seemed like a long time and then the same on the way back after doubling around. If you know this in advance it won’t be so bad…TAKE THE WILLIAM CANNON EXIT and stay on the service road.The hotel itself is old but the carpet and wallpaper must have been changed in the last few years. The linen was new and fluffy and white. It was clean and odor free until the A/C cycled off and then it got musty in a hurry. The breakfast was the same it always ion any Hampton.That A/C was a real thing I wouldn’t have slept at all had I not developed the habit of keeping Ozium in my suit case. I took the filters out and sprayed them heavily and went to sleep.The price does reflect the age of the property.

  I find most Hampton Inns are reasonably priced quality places to stay. Hampton Inn Austin Oak Hill is no exception. Clean, safe & affordable. Good breakfast selection, well maintained. I did not use the gym or pool - both appeared fine. I would stay again.

  I want to give a special shout-out to Quinn, who works at the front desk. She was so super helpful to me! Thank you, Quinn! PS the rest of the hotel was great as well.x PS The rest of the hotel was excellent as well. Hampton Inn Austin/Oak HillI just wish they had a jacuzzi!

  Bridget and Hampton Inn

  We arrived early to town and Bridget was extremely accommodating. She was friendly and very helpful. All the staff were very nice. Room was clean and well stocked. Will stay here again if in town. Highly recommend. We stayed with our dog and everyone was extremely understanding.
