    Not Worthy of the Hilton Name...

    The check-in was just fine--the front desk clerk was lovely. Made sure we got our cookies and even gave us water since we arrived at the wee hours of the morning.But the room spoiled the lovely check-in. There was hair on both beds, all over the bathroom floor, and debris (a child's ribbon) on the floor; overall, not clean! I used A LOT of Clorox wipes and slept in my clothes because it was just yucky. If it weren't so early in the morning and we only had 4 hours of sleep before getting up, I would have made a big stink about the room.The hotel could use a serious update! The bathroom tile was uneven, the caulking was stained, and the carpet was stained. And the mattresses were like bean bags--mushy and lumpy.I would expect much more from a DoubleTree by Hilton property.I don't recommend staying here unless you have no options because it definitely doesn't live up to the ratings I saw online.     I don't know where to begin. We were there 3 nights. They only made our room up once. Had to go to front desk for fresh towels. Called and asked for fresh glasses and was told that they only provide one set of glasses per stay! Nice and close to commuter rail but noise from train made it hard to sleep at night. Not near any nice dining. The breakfast and dinner offered at hotel was less than mediocre and prices very high. I know hotels are expensive in the Boston area but $900.00 for what we got was a rip off.     Poor hotel when other options are available with better basic amenities. Refrigerator is broken in the room. Also the first shuttle doesn’t run until 5:00 making me pay $35 to get to the early flight. I’ll never come back here.     Poor service at reception

    The woman at the reception desk on the left, with short hair, on January 1, 2026, whom I approached to ask a quick question in the early hours of the morning, was incredibly rude to me, a guest, in front of other people checking in. She was extremely rude; she didn't even consider whether I might have an emergency and told me she wasn't going to answer because she was attending to other guests, even though my simple question wouldn't have taken two seconds to answer. I think they shouldn't have people like that working in a hotel on New Year's Day, and this woman's attitude was the worst impression I've ever had.     A General Manager Who Doesn't Manage

    My wife Ellen and I are long-time Hilton Honors members. We stayed at the Double Tree by Hilton-Chelsea near Boston's Logan Airport on October 9 to begin a planned New England fall color trip. As it turned out, a late summer-early fall drought prevented the typical explosion of fall colors in New Hampshire and Vermont and we cut the trip short and came home early on October 15, staying at this hotel again the night before we left. The problem arose from a requirement at the hotel that we pay in advance for our originally planned last night at the hotel on October 19. Long story short, the hotel charged us for three nights even though we only stayed two nights. The front desk refused to refund our payment for the third night, saying we would need to talk to the general manager, Kristin Kelley, who was not there. I called to speak to her three times since our stay, and she won't return my calls. So we are out about $500 (fall colors premium price) for the evening of the October 19, and she refuses to issue our refund even after I left several messages for her over a period of weeks! Weeks! In my opinion, Ms. Kelley should be fired. She has been completely unresponsive, and we feel cheated.
