Location

This pleasing city hotel is situated in the theatre district of Boston's city centre. The nearest public transport stop is just 10 m from the hotel. Guests will find plenty of shopping venues, countless restaurants, diverse bars, cafés and a variety of entertainment venues in the vicinity.

Facility

The hotel has 259 rooms and 8 suites, which are located on 5 storeys and are reachable by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay.Exceptionally clean and quiet rooms with comfy bedsThe location is great with plenty of public transportation.We used Lyft for transportation when we needed it.Starbucks and a bar on site were an added bonus.Last but not least we have to mention Touriya Kebass. Exceptional service and friendliness that went beyond our expectations.We loved our conversations with her.The chocolate chip cookies are the bomb!     First stay in here in 7+ years, and I must admit that the hotel and the neighborhood has improved. It can get a little loud here since the hotel is very close the the T stop and to Tufts Medical Center. But the area is clean. The hotel was very solid. The front desk, and especially the wait staff could use a little training, but overall a solid visit.     Lovely staff let down by their management

    OK, this is a hard review to write. You see most of the staff were marvellous. But they were let down by the management. Nothing typifies this more than the fact that they had hung the America 250 Flag in the lobby, but had not even bothered to iron it. There were further issues with our account and a night manager who refused to engage.So the staff were very happy to help, very pleasant and very customer focussed. Unlike the management who find clients a nuisance.     We selected the Doubletree by Hilton the night prior to our cruise from Boston because I am Diamond status with Hilton.We found the hotel lobby to be crowded and the restaurant, sub par and overpriced.The rooms are just ok and nothing special. The hotel could use a makeover and falls short to general Hilton family standards.When are cruise returned to Boston we elected to stay at The W, Port of the Marriott family of hotels, where we had a much better experience.Be prepared for plenty of outside noise including sirens, as the hotel is across the street from a hospital emergency room.On a more positive note, the hotel is close to shopping and Chinatown.
