    Nice Basic Stay Beside Harvard

    This is a nice hotel closely located to Harvard and about 10 minutes walk from the subway station. I arrived late and was told I was lucky someone was still there and told I had been emailed a code to get in which I have never received. It was a nice quiet hotel. There are free tea and coffee making facilities down the corridor that guests can make use of which is nice. The staff were friendly with no issues. I would highly recommend the pancake place (IHOP) nearby for breakfast.

    Such a charming little place!Boston and Cambridge are very expensive to stay, but the Friendly Inn offers a lot for a good price. I loved the charm and the cleanliness. Slept like a baby in the softest bed.Perfect stay for a solo traveler. Harvard is right around the corner.

    Cute little place, I think the reviews are a bit harsh considering the price you pay. The rooms are a bit older but we didn’t plan on spending much time in there anyways so no complaints. Me and my bf went for one night and there was a lot to do close by. We would definitely come back!

    Very conveniently located for access to most everything Harvard related. My daughter and I left safe in the area. The house is quirky and historic with very little updating. The beds need attention and they are close together. Window units for AC and radiators for heat. LOTS of narrow, twisting stairs cases but there are ground level floor rooms. Our room had a TINY bathroom and a tiny shower to go with it. TV is TINY and mounted to the ceiling (not that you should spend a ton of time watching it. AC overpowers the TV sound. No breakfast. If you need a room for lower cost you can’t complain too much but if you are more of a comfort and luxury person. Check out another location.

    Location is A+ - short walk to Harvard Yard. But my room was quite shabby, with terribly stained carpets. No breakfast at this "B&B" -- understandable with COVID - and no coffee available in the kitchen. (It would be SO easy to provide a Keurig machine and a small refrig for milk/cream!) More rooms than parking spaces - although I lucked out and was able to park there. Pro - free wifi, friendly staff, comfortable bed with extra pillows and comforter. But overall -- too expensive for value received, and I will not stay there again.
