    Some operational issues that impacted our brief stay

    We stayed here one night while attending a super concert at Bull Run. The hotel has been renovated and looks good. The room we had 227 was much larger than expectations and well appointed. However, there are operational issues to be remedied. When we got back to the hotel after the concert, we saw the hotel was extremely busy and parking was a hard find. Once i our room the internet did not work, probably oversubscribed with a full hotel. The wall unit HVAC did not run on cool all night and turned itself off. The next morning, I could not get the coffee maker to brew it kept turning the power off. The staff were certainly friendly, and the owners appeared to be making money, so time to manage a full hotel more effectively.

    Great room, clean and modern. Clean bathroom. Nice lobby and easy location with good parking. Nice gym and pool. Free coffee in lobby in morning.

    Three showers, all luke warm!

    In large part this hotel maintains the typical quality level of Hilton Garden. But they cut expense corners in too many places that diminish the experience of staying there. The worst is their showers. Showers on three separate days were all luke warm despite the "hot" water being turned fully on. Barely warm enough to complete a shower, and glad to get out all three days! Their every other day housekeeping was hit-or-miss. One time the beds weren't made, despite that being in the rate. Another day there was no second box of kleenix. The rooms are typical though this location cut corners there as well. Instead of dresser drawers you get shelves...as if anyone wants to get on hands and knees on the hotel carpet to make use of the floor-level shelf. One positive was the woman Naomi who staffs the breakfast. She worked hard every day, was personable and has a great work ethic.

    We had a terrible experience at this hotel. Whomever was staying in the room above us had a long night of stomping, moving furniture and screaming. All night. Breakfast was average but the crazy situation upstairs really ruined the evening for us. We did tell hotel staff about it the next morning but they were unconcerned.

    pros: quiet. good bed. large room. very convenient conference center nearby, and food was good during the event (breakfast and dinner).cons: no room service, even though we were there for 3 nights—i had to ask for new towels on the afternoon of the third day. the shower leaked in a very large puddle across much of the bathroom floor every day. the body wash ran out during the last shower. a faucet leaked, leaving a puddle on the counter. the toilet was not flushing properly. the check-in woman was not welcoming, and barely acknowledged my list of problems at checkout. room 427 needs a lot of maintenance. we would not stay at this hotel again.
