Worst hotel we’ve stayed at, and for the highest price

    rating07 Sept 2024

The worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in, for the most expensive price I’ve paid. Next time I’d pay the higher price to stay anywhere else. Door to the room wouldn’t open, so had to have staff come and show the “trick” to get it open. Figured at least if we couldn’t get the door open with a key, then likely no one else could get in. Tried the deadbolt because we didn’t feel terribly safe, and then got locked in and spent 5 mins trying get back out to go to supper-thankfully we realized this immediately and not in the event of an emergency. Chair in the room was in bad shape, window in the room was cracked. Breakfast was minimal with very few options compared to other places we’ve stayed. I will say that aside from stains all over the skirting, the beds were clean. Elevator is quite old as well, we felt better using the stairs. Brought extra items into the room with us as we didn’t feel safe to leave them in the car overnight. As others have mentioned, it did smell of smoke in the hotel. There were people roaming around the parking lot for reasons I couldn’t figure out, and we could hear arguments or some commotion outside late in the evening as well. Only positives I can say was that the check in process was easy. Wish I had checked out as soon as we couldn’t get the door open. Neil Patel, Owner at Super 8 by Wyndham Brockton, responded to this review Dear guest, we apologize for any inconvenience you faced during your stay. We thank you for your honest comments. Needles dirty bugs and smelly beding with holes. They upgraded my room to another dirty suite.. enough said... there is a motel 6 as well as other hotels in the area. The smoking rooms are the only plus. But also know they probably have needles waiting for ya.. tah

    Great Experience/Great Staff & NCSE (Nice-Clean-Safe-Economical)!

    rating30 Oct 2023

Great Staff - Great Service & NCSE (Nice-Clean-Safe-Economical)!I want to start out by offering our heartfelt gratitude for making our stay with you a very enjoyable and rewarding experience...you guys are the best!!!I want to personally thank Anthony, Hardeep, Raj, Kush and Alex for going "out-of-their-way" & "the extra mile" to make our 4-night/5-day stay with you a very rewarding experience.Note...there was also a very nice/polite/sincere/helpful daytime manager (can't remember his name...maybe Sam???) that was great as well. The facility and grounds are clean/nice/well maintained and safe and it was an absolute pleasure to stay there...the price was right in-line with our budget as well. For a review, this might seem to be "too complementary" but the people that own/mange/maintain (including house cleaning) this motel deserve to be praised for their commitment to excellent service.I will definitely recommend this motel to my friends and relatives that might ever be in that area (BTW...we're from the deep south) and would (if in that area again) would go "out-of-our-way" to stay there.Note...if you're like us and like that "small town-city - edge of rural area" feel, then Brockton might be the area you want to stay in. It is basically midway from Boston and the south/central Cape Code area sites (i.e. Martha's Vineyard) and we were able to get to the shuttle service for the ferry to Martha's Vineyard in just over an hour.Best wishes to the owner(s)/staff for the future and thanks again for a great experience!
