This place was such a great and unique stay. Dirty and smells bad

Stayed in 2 rooms. First room smelled so bad like mold I had to switch rooms. Second run smelled like a gym locker. It was so gross. There was no one there when I checked in and run another hour to switch rooms since their front desk is off site. No screens so you can't even air anything out of you wanted to. Balcony had lose spongy boards and didn't feel safe to walk on. The whole place was dingy. wouldnt recommend staying here if you had a choice. My husband and I stayed in a king stuga for four nights. Loved the minimalist style, outside space, the river, and fire pits. Great location between town and the ski area, close to everything. Lots of nice hiking, scenic drives, and waterfalls to explore. The AC is only on the living room. It was fine for us. Maybe bring a small fan for the bedroom if it’s really warm when you are there. With restaurants so expensive now the little kitchen is great for easy meals and snacks. Ask for a cabin farther away from the main lodge, they are more private. Try Cold Hollow Cider Mill maple creemees!! Very relaxing trip! Horrible hotel with incompetent staff

Pros: Pretty looking Nice view of streamCons:Teeny tiny room. The 2 queen beds were pushed against the walls so I had to climb over my spouse to get in and out of bed No closetsNo Dresser drawers No place to place toiletries It took them 4 days to fix the TVOK hot water in am lukewarm in pmThe refrigerator was so small that you couldn’t fit a half gallon of milk in itThere was coffee but nothing else for breakfast not even rollsAlmost no room clean up and towel sevicesThere was a false alarm that went off at 1:30 am on July Fourth. The staff was nowhere to be found for at least 15 minutes. I had to call 911 and the fire department didn’t show up for at least half an hour. The staff didn’t know how to turn their own alarm off and had to wait for the fire department to show them how to. We stood out in the parking lot for over an hour.
