Very nice property in sightly secluded locaton

NICE property. A little secluded but just minutes from downtown. Price is reasonable for Monterey. If handicapped/disabled mention that and you get free parking that otherwise is $20/night.

Worst hotel experience
13 Feb 2026
Terrible experience here. Would not recommend. Arrived to find they gave away our upgraded room to someone else. They offered us a free parking space for our inconvenience but even told us “good luck finding a space.” In addition, finding the room itself was a maze. The front desk did not give clear directions - we almost got trapped in the parking garage. So after parking outdoors, we had to walk all over the complex with our luggage trying to find our room. Most importantly, it’s almost 11PM and we found that the toilet was not flushing. So after calling the front desk and learning they had absolutely zero available rooms, we had to wait for someone to come and fix it. We’re beyond exhausted now and find this the worst hotel experience. On a positive note, the second shift handling the situation and the gentleman who repaired the toilet were very patient and efficient.

Don't even bother

This was the most disappointing stay I have ever had at a Hilton property. The hotel feels like a subpar attempt at updating a motel while still charging typical Hilton prices. I stayed two nights, including a Saturday, in room 200. The room was loud, and I could hear conversations and commotion from the lobby and bar late into the night. The shower leaked throughout my stay, and the refrigerator did not work. Even after cranking the settings all the way, my very expensive leftovers were spoiled.Breakfast did not make matters better and was easily the worst “continental breakfast” I have experienced at any Hilton or major hotel chain. There were only two options: the continental “buffet” or a very limited menu, neither of which was particularly vegetarian- or gluten-free-friendly. The only “baked good” I could eat was gluten-free bread, which was only available upon request. One morning, the hot items were not even offered, yet I was still charged $20 for fruit, gluten-free bread, and scrambled eggs I requested as an add-on. I also never received the plain yogurt that was supposed to be included. At checkout, there was only one front desk agent, who didn’t even ask how my stay had been. I had to point out that the food and beverage credit had not been applied to my account. This credit was absolutely the only reason I chose to participate in the joke of a breakfast offering. The agent said it was added, but several days later the charge still has not been removed.Overall, this property is less than mediocre and not worth the price. Management should seriously evaluate both the condition of the hotel and the level of service being provided. I should have stayed across the street at the Hyatt, where the breakfast can at least justify the price.

Could be Better

I expected more from a Hilton. Everyone working there was really nice, but our room had a funky smell and definitely wasn’t the cleanest. For $200 a night I’d stay somewhere else in the future.
